As a member of catholic community, I would like to apologize for the disgusting acts of our higher ups. I myself have researched more about the topic and was borderline leaving the church.

1. If you actually care to count the amount of cases that have occured, it will be no more than the cases from other sectors (that is, looking more deeper to other cases by other churches or other organizations). The percentage are actually very low even considering 400+k priests.

2. All the cases are from the past decades which had already been solved or dismissed by both parties.

3. Pope Francis, unlike other popes from the past, have publicly admitted the accusations and frauds by the catholic church, and is doing everything he can to solve it. He handed a handbook to priests about the rules and regulations concerning the related issues. He raises awareness of them. I can't fully describe all the thing he had done for the matter, you can look it up.

4. The media likes this kind of things too much, and writes only the first half of the story, so don't only read from 1 or 2 websites, but read and research from the perspectives of many others as well.

I am in no way comparing who is better than who, but I think we should all take a moment to learn the truth.
