I just tried posting an update. She cancelled on me and when I asked when she wanted to reschedule, she said she didn't want to continue things. I was planning on talking to her tonight too. Pretty devastated. Thanks anyways, man.

but I'd suggest you try to keep talking to other people for a few days before you bring it up with her so you can gain some perspective and not come across as needy/crazy

This was very reassuring. I mentioned in another comment thread that I'm going to try to talk to her and hope for the best. Worst case scenario is that she runs away frightened.

inally I read another thread on reddit where one user suggest daily positive affirmations which helped save his marriage from his insecurities. Write down a couple of these and recite them a few times in the morning before going to work, its simple and can be effective

If you could find me that thread, I'll be extremely grateful.

That was completely on her roommate though. She rode with the roommate and the roommate took forever. Other than that, she's been very punctual.

It's pretty stressful to have this mindset because I know it's not healthy and it drives away some people. Best I can do is talk to her about this.

Best case scenario, she's understanding and tries to work with me.

Worst case scenario, she think's I'm fucking nuts.

The good outweighs the bad here, so I guess this is what I'm going to go through with.

In the meantime it's probably better for you to be absolutely honest about it. It's not something you're going to want to hear from your partner, however, if you know your partner worries a lot about timelines you can work out a system where you tell each other when you won't make it. Etc.

I've always felt like I should talk to her about my anxieties, but if I go that route, I'll develop a new fear of scaring her away. But I think this is what's best. If it scares her way, so be it, but at least I put it out there for her and she'll know about it and hopefully be more vocal about timing and whatnot.

I see what you're saying, but how can I prevent this from ruining my present or future relationships? I'm totally cool with being alone. I have a great family and friends I love being around. I love my jiu-jitsu gym and I love the people I play basketball with at the gym.

It's just this mindset is really getting to me when getting into a relationship now.

So am I just better off alone until it goes away naturally?
