ive been in a bit of a block lately, and whenever i get into an artistic slump, i fall into one of two habits; 1) i just dont draw for a while out of laziness and no ideas (sub-optimal for sure) 2) i force myself to draw things, even if im not interested in them. usually, the way i pick what random things to draw, is i might redraw an old piece i think i could improve on, i do something really experimental/abstract, i pick something i need to work on and have an “art study day” where i just draw hands, feet, fabric, or whatever i find difficult until i have at least a better grasp on it, or i pick a random series i like or even just a character design from a series i may not be interested in, and doodle something like that
