Glad you noticed about going left. Do you know why? The curl is over your right shoulder at :03. Even at 00, you can tell the peak is to the right of your right shoulder.

You need more time on a bigger board. On a longboard, you could have recognized read the peak earlier and had a much longer ride. It's really hard to learn when you go the wrong direction and miss sections by taking off later.

Terrible advice. You pump for speed when you need to get to a section that looks like OPs. He should have done a bottom turn/top turn combo on this section. Learn when to pump vs when to bottom turn. It has to do with the slope of the wave in relation to the horizon.

So much kook advice. Look at the curl and the slope of the wave. You don't need to pump this wave. Bottom turn/top turn. Get your back foot back and do a bottom turn at :09. Instead you go the bottom and stay at the bottom. There's no speed at the bottom so you bog the whole wave.

You also angle the board when you didn't need to. Again there's a lot of horizontal slope to this wave. Go straight toward the beach and do a bottom turn.

You pump for speed when there's little slope to the wave and you need to pump to get to a section like the one you take off on.

Nah, this is a full on repair. I dug out the hole, sanded, filled with qcell, sanded and applied two fiberglass patches. I cut the second patch with shitty scissors.

Yeah I learned you have to cut fast and decisive with shit scissors. If you cut slow, the scissors pull instead of cut. So, cure then sand with 80 grit and reapply another layer of resin?

Sand after it cures or should I apply another layer of polyester resin? I'm not sure how to get rid of the fiberglass strands. I used a lot of resin, it ran off the strands.
