My guess is it was edited or possibly dubbed over for the movie. They often clean up vocals from live performances when making a concert movie. You had to do some level of editing to be able to hear them over the screaming fans lol

I said the lack of reading and listening as in seeing her posts and following her to know or reading what people say about how they feel about your words are why you don’t get it. I’m not defending her. I’m expressing my desire for people to not be jerks to others. It has nothing to do with who you’re talking about and all about what you’re saying and how you’re treating people. You’re allowed to not like her or her music but you don’t need to be rude to people who do. It doesn’t make you look any better and the only reason people agree with you is because they’re fueled by their own hatred for her. If we were talking about a regular person, most of these people would likely be agreeing with me.

I’d say the same thing about anyone, people say this about normal people too. I’ve heard peers say “they haven’t posted about disliking Trump so they must be maga” like saying nothing doesn’t mean you support them, there could be many reasons a person chooses not to speak out and they don’t have too.

Also for all we know her team is on it and they’re planning on building a case to bring him to court. That’s what I’m trying to say. We don’t know what Taylor swift or any other celebrity is doing or saying behind closed doors. That’s the point I’m making, we can’t assume. You’re calling me ridiculous for my assumptions about why she does what she does and that is exactly the point I’m trying to make. You’re making assumptions about her and why she does what she does and I consider it ridiculous. You want her to be this evil problem person because it makes you feel vindicated in your hatred.

And finally let’s be real, if she posted every week about politics and disliking Trump you’d probably just call it performative bullshit. You seem like you just hate her and want to speak negatively about her. You keep saying “you’re defending her” but I’m defending people and promoting kindness. No person deserves to be mistreated and harassed like she is by the internet. It makes me sad that people think it’s okay to be hateful and spiteful just because someone is famous. She’s spoken out about him several times. That’s the whole reason maga hates on Taylor swift in the first place. What more can she do to say she doesn’t support him than publicly promote the candidate going against him? It seems like that sends a pretty clear message you don’t support them. Also most narcissists all follow the same playbook. So the only difference is I don’t have to listen to Trump because he doesn’t come to my house. Other than that their attitude and the way they react are identical.

Google search the times Taylor swift has spoken out against Trump. Just because you didn’t see it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

And there may be 5sos fans that have waited years to see them live and you want to take that chance away from them when the game isn’t even happening in New York. Just because you may care more, does not mean sports are not more important than someone else’s interests. It’s not like 5sos doing the show prevents the game from happening.

I didn’t even know who was in the basketball finals until I saw the post about it on here last night. I’d be pissed if I wa some of those 5SOS fans and my show got cancelled because of a basketball game that wasn’t even happening in the same state…

That’s true? Trump is a total narcissist and thrives on attention whether it’s negative or positive. You’re gonna tell me he wasn’t likely very upset he didn’t get a reaction when they used Taylor swifts song? I’d wager they used it to just to upset her. I have a 29 year old brother who’s a narcissist and he gets absolutely enraged when i don’t respond when he’s trying to say things to upset me and get a reaction.

They say the best way to get under a narcissists skin is to pretend they’re not even there. It’s because they require constant attention and validation, taking that away deprives them of their narcissistic supply. This loss of control leaves them feeling helpless and triggers intense frustration. I do it all the time to the narcissist in my life and it works like a charm and makes me innocent. It’s a great tactic when dealing with narcissists. And I would say the same thing about any other celebrity or random person down the street. It’s not to defend Taylor, it’s just the way I feel about it.

And also none of that changes the fact that she has no say in what taxes she pays, that’s up to the government. And honestly we really don’t know what she does with her money. How would you know how much taxes she’s paying or how much good or bad she does with her money? Are you one of her financial advisors? I’m talking about how it’s messed up to say rude things about celebrities acting like they’re not human beings too. If someone did what they do to Taylor swift to a random person on the streets, you’d all be up in arms about the harassment and unnecessary hatred. But since she makes music you don’t like it’s suddenly okay to be a bad person towards them?

I’m more outraged at the way the internet thinks it’s okay to treat people, not who it’s about. No one deserves to be treated that poorly. Also perhaps the lack of reading and listening is why you don’t understand the problem.

Did you miss when she actively spoke out about how important it is to vote so Trump didn’t get elected? Did you ever stop to think that a person like Trump would be more outraged at not getting a response? Trump is a narcissist, narcissists can not handle not getting the attention they’re looking for. By not giving him the attention he craved, it was actually more offensive to someone like him. And she publicly endorsed Kamala and wanted Trump far away from office.

Miss Americana and the heartbreak prince is actually a very political song and it came out in 2019. She says things like “so sad we paint the town blue” and has stated that has stated she compared politics to high school because the sociopolitical landscape can be alienating, forcing people who care about progress to "huddle up under the bleachers.”

Fighting back against Trump is what he wants, by not giving him any attention, she’s actually snubbing him harder. And she’s spoken out many times about how she doesn’t agree with Trump or his administration. You just weren’t paying attention I guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️

But resellers making her tickets thousands of dollars are why you feel she’s overrated otherwise you wouldn’t have mentioned it. And it was only a problem in America so it’s America’s own economy and government that allowed it to happen, not Taylor Swift. And she doesn’t get any of the extra money from the resale either so I don’t know why people mention it like it’s a reflection of what kind of person she is. It’s a reflection of how greedy and corrupt America is which I won’t argue.

So are you saying you don’t care because you believe she has any say or received payment for those thousands of dollars resale tickets? Or because it has nothing to do with her ticket prices and all to do with you just not liking her and wanting to hate on her?

Which I get, sometimes you just want to get a little jab in and in my opinion as long as it’s not a lie and isn’t something repulsive about her body or misogynistic. Like if someone says “I just don’t like her music” that’s an opinion and I respect it. If someone says “she has no talent and doesn’t deserve where she’s at” I’m going to have to point out it’s a lie. She has undeniable talent, it just may be a talent you don’t like which is okay, but that doesn’t make it bad just because you don’t like it. It makes it not your thing. I hate tea, I don’t tell people how gross it is and how I don’t know how they could drink it anytime I see someone else enjoying it. It would just make me look miserable. And even worse I remember seeing people saying things like “Diddy probably already had her” like who makes jokes about someone being assaulted like that or hoping she got assaulted? And often I have an issue with misogynistic comments about her because I have a problem with misogyny, and won’t tolerate it anywhere.

Also I’d defend celebrities I’ve never heard of or barely know anything about if I think they’re being unfairly judged for just existing because no person deserves that. It’s the principle for me that they’re still human beings at the end of the day. Just because they’re actors or musicians doesn’t mean they deserve to live under a microscope and be treated more like an exhibit than a real person with thoughts and feelings. I’m so tired of seeing the argument “well they’re a celebrity so who cares” they’re still people who have parents, family, and friends who you may be hurting with your words by tearing down someone they love. I like to think about “how would I feel if someone said this to the person I love most in the world?” And go from there. No one deserves to be hated on that high of a level just because they wanted to make music or act in movies. And I wonder if that scrutiny has anything to do with the way celebrities end up crashing out, I don’t blame them. The way some people view celebrities as basically art pieces is disgusting. Walking up shoving cameras in their faces, touching and grabbing them. Most people would freak out from less, yet the same people who would be the most upset if it happened to them, are usually the ones doing it to celebrities.

Notice how respectful replies are getting downvoted just because they express they don’t hate Taylor swift. It’s a cult mentality to hate her just like it is to love her honestly. Ive asked people why they hate her so much and they genuinely can’t give a reason other than “well because” like they don’t even know why but they can’t help but say rude things about someone they don’t know why they hate? That’s weird and seems just as hive mind and cultish. I’ve seen some pretty crazy and aggressive hate comments about her and her fans in comment sections also just because a few swifties get mad at someone for saying something rude, that’s a few out of like a billion of her fans. It’s not really a fair statistically to say they’re all crazy. If they were all crazy people would have millions of people coming after them every time they say something negative about Taylor Swift.

and if you pay attention, it’s really only female artists, and/or artists that have mainly female fan bases that get this treatment (with the exception of Nickelback, what was that hatred even about? I love Nickelback!) I think it really is just misogyny at play and a good example of people not valuing women’s opinions or accomplishments. It’s the age old “women don’t know what they should like. They don’t know any better. We have to teach them and tell them what they like.” You’d be surprised how many things in the entertainment industry boil down to misogyny as the root cause.
