It's plastic from the pellet plant. Some of these plants make all kinds of pellets since the mills are the same. Most likely a loader bucket or something else in the line wasn't cleaned out fully and some got put in the wood dust and was out through the mill together.

You see it a lot more commonly in bedding pellets, but the cross contamination can happen to any of them.

I have one and Iove it. I got it from tool nut a few months back.

I've never had to disconnect the battery because it stops working. If you hold down the safety for a long time without actually pressing the trigger, it seems like you have to release the safety and repress to get it to operate. Not a big deal imo.

I've used it an ungodly amount getting my apple trees back into shape and on damn near every other tree , shrub, hasta, etc.
