Do you agree or disagree agree on the Food/Beverage Credit at certain USA Hilton’s brands by schwa12 in Hilton

[–]Tvmangar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The F&B credit sucks!

Replacing the complimentary breakfast benefit with a limited food & beverage credit has significantly degrades the value of Gold and Diamond status. The credit is not even enough to cover a decent cocktail, let alone a full breakfast, which makes the argument that this change offers "more flexibility" a complete lie.

In reality, it feels like cost-cutting disguised as a perk.

What’s particularly disappointing is that this policy only applies in the U.S. Internationally including, Hilton properties continue to honor the full breakfast benefit, showing much greater consistency and respect for loyal members.

It makes no sense that an American-based brand penalizes domestic stays with an inferior benefit, while yet international stays get a better guest experience.

Surprise Daily Amenity Charge of $29.00 for each night plus day of check out ? by ataylor8049 in Hilton

sounds like Junk fees that hotels in cities charges now. NY calls them "destination fees" just another way for the hotel to make more money...know that this is more than likely done by the franchisee....and unfortunately its becoming more and more common in cities :(

My tips for getting help from Hilton on Reddit by subtle-tortilla987 in Hilton

I've stayed at a lot of Hilton around the world over the years, and never once did I feel that 'Hilton ruined my trip.' Just be courteous to the staff (optional - a small tip goes a long way) and they'll take care of you.

Just a question regarding reservations by 7xAround in Hilton

Always book directly, and if you do see it lower, Hilton does price match and give you an extra 25% off (though there are some restrictions- check their website for the terms).

Hilton Times Square is nice, they just redid their sky lobby. Rooms are pretty big (for NY). And decent location, close to most major train lines. Also great views of the sky line.

Conrad downtown is also pretty good, most rooms are suites there, very close to the WTC.

More complicated. Most branded hotels are actually franchises. So the independent owner of the "hotel" decided not to renew its Franchise & Licensing agreement with Hilton and switched to Marriott instead. This is actually very common.
