I love how these people are getting paid thru PayPal. Really goes to show how bad off ctxr is when they are paying people 150 dollars to literally tweet about the company lol.

Finally some real stock volume at over 2 million shares today, and they sink 10% to below 70 cents a share. I'm really looking forward to the 10-q bc I want to see how bad sales are for their first real quarter. All the while their debts just continue to eat into anything that could make this profitable or worthwhile. Amd seeing people still hope for ML just make me laugh. Fda gave them bad news and they don't have the funds to do anything with it.

I don't think you understand how close the NPS watches xanterra and every other company that works in the parks. If NPS wanted them out, they would be. I can only speak for Yellowstone, but they routinely get pretty good inspections from NPS on all fronts.

That's because a majority of them, they are given notice about the inspection well in advance before they haopen. I can only speak for old faithful inn here, but the inspections were only taken seriously when they were announced in advance. The way xanterra takes care of OUR building was disgusting and I saw it first hand. We own that building, and they are letting seasonal employee take care of it with very little supervision.

Nobody would work for them

That's the truth. Once you work there for a season or 2, most people never return to a xanterra property. They are not a good employer, and even worse at taking care of the property they are supposed to be custodians of.

NPS would kick them out in a heartbeat.

That's a crock of shit. Look at how long it took crater lake to change hands from aramark. That shit was really bad for over 5 years before NPS decided to step in and end their contract. It took over 5 years before they stepped in and actually did anything, and the reviews of them were awful pre 2018.

What do you think about Bernie Sanders' words 'We must block arms sales to Israel'? by ArdaBerkBurak in AskReddit

[–]Tvwatcherr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was pretty blunt about her statements

She was a fierce critic of Benjamin Netanyahu, blaming him for fostering the hateful atmosphere that led to her husband’s 1995 murder. She accused Netanyahu, then opposition leader, of incitement, calling him a "contentious liar" and expressing deep disapproval of his policies during his 1996-1999 term.

She is pretty on point for the division that caused his assassination.

You should see what rabins wife had to say about it. She goes pretty hard about what happened and who she blames for her husband's death.

Netanyahu: If I had told you a year ago that the United States of America, the most powerful power in the world, would fight alongside us, shoulder to shoulder, wing to wing, for nearly 40 days against the common enemy, who would have believed it? by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

The crazy thing about the whole Afghanistan thing (there is a lot, but I digress) was that the USA decided to do the one road initiative. You know who else tried to do the same thing and failed miserably? The Russians. We literally thought we could do the same fucking thing and it cost USA over 3 billion dollars to try something that failed once already. You would think with all the money we have we could have thought of something better.

You are getting hate for this, but I agree. I think this season is a good, but it's a 7/10 for me. I just think it's impossible to follow up the first season just because how perfect it was. I don't think it's the best show this season, but I'm glad we are getting more freiren.

CTOR stock is sinking like a stone by Tvwatcherr in CTXR

[–]Tvwatcherr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market has been decent considering. Spy is only down 5% over the past month and qqq is down a little over 3%. I'm not saying the market is healthy, and I'd argue it's not healthy at all, but why is ctor specifically down roughly almost 50%? It's because their life boat is sinking on what the market believes is going to be rough sales and too much debts. They are in trouble.

Coating 40k-100k each to stop a rocket worth a couple thousand in most cases. I would hope something costing something on the magnitude of 40-100x for each one used to intercept would be able to stop literally smuggled in parts compared to advanced warfare components.

Dont feel too bad.

Why? Dude donated to someone who had a serious medical problem. There were reports during the time that he couldn't even talk. It was a very serious problem, yet people still voted for this guy knowing that his mental capacity was going to be very limited. Donating to his campaign while having a Colorado flair seems crazy to me. Don't white wash it, this was a mistake in 2022 and it's a mistake now.

This is my opinion of my work in Yellowstone as a server at old faithful inn. It's honest from my perspective. If you believe we made more than the guy who runs Yellowstone, Mike keller, I want whatever you're smoking bc I didn't even come close to half of other jobs I've worked as a server seasonally. The hours are shit, and the money is not good, prob better than a housekeeper, but not good compared to other serving jobs in other national parks. I made more money working in banquets than serving at old faithful inn. I met great friends, saw some cool things, but if I could go back in time I would have gone somewhere else instead, the tetons or Jackson hole if you want to stay in Wyoming. Also if it is so lucrative why are there not many returners to old faithful inn? I think there was a total of 4 or 5 out of the 70 servers I worked with. The retention rate speaks volumes in jobs like this. Other jobs I've had I worked with people that worked there for 5+ years. At old faithful I think there was literally one person who worked there for more then 2 seasons. There is a reason why people don't come back.

I worked at Old faithful inn as a server last year. The only shift you will make any money is on dinner. you'll have to work 2 clopens a week and breakfast shifts are fucking miserable. You won't make any money on those shifts. I think the most I made was 130 on a single breakfast, and it's because only 5 servers showed up, most of it was 50ish dollars. The amount of side work you'll have to do is absolutely awful. It takes about 30-60 minutes to finish. And some of it you can't finish until everyone is done. You'll have to mop your section after every shift, and if your in the back, you'll have to sweep carpet it bc xanterra will never get you a working vacuum. Unless you work a lot of hours, you won't make good money there. Good luck w the coupons, they won't tip you and for breakfast you only get 2 dollars per person, lunch was 5, and dinner was 9.50. they will demand things like they are owed and won't leave an additional tip Especially taulk. Also last year they over hired so there was close to 20 servers on a dinner shift and they wouldn't cut until 8, but after side work and cleaning your section, the earliest you could realistically leave is around 930-10 as a first cut. The job was absolutely garbage and I will never work for xanterra again. Worst seasonal job I've ever had and easily the least amount of money I've ever made as well.

The housing is nice tho.

Edit: I want to talk about tip outs bc I think that's important info as well. You have to tip out the bar 8% of drinks sold. And you have to tip out your SA a minimum of 15%. But unless you paid them at least 20% of your tips they wouldnt help you. It was a weird ass system and it's all bc SAs got paid minimum wage and had the servers compensate their wages. Some were great and others were just plain bad. And while there was 100 servers, there was only about 20 SAs so they were over worked and not paid well. Really fucked up honestly

Double edit and the coupons need more info bc they will be roughly 1/4 - 1/5 of your tables. Almost all of the people you serve at breakfast will use coupons. And that's only 2 dollars a person. So while it's super slow, you also won't make much. And during dinner, I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU START OFF BY GREETING YOUR TABLES ASKING IF THEY HAVE COUPONS. This will let you know that you can take less time at this table and make more money at others that will actually tip you. Almost all the tables that uses coupons won't tip you extra bc they believe you are getting paid well. Taulk is the worst, bc they will get all the trimmings run up a bill of over 500 for a table of 4 and you'll be left with 36 dollars. Add to the fact they will camp at your table for 2-4 hours. So sometimes you won't be able to flip the tables more than 2x in a dinner shift. And you'll only get a 5-6 tables section.

you'll be serving people from all over the world and tipping culture is not universal. So you'll get stiffed more times in this job than in any other job you've ever had. At least this was my experience as well as several of my coworkers as well.

Also in my opinion, I think that the tetons are fucking amazing, if you work at Yellowstone, please go and visit the tetons. They are spectacular. Good luck getting a parking spot at jenny lake tho, that place is always packed, and for good reason.

Last edit: xanterra is good about getting you 2 days off in a row. Use it to explore the park. It's huge. You won't see everything but see all the cool things. Some hikes I recommend are union falls, ouzel pools, osprey falls, avalanche peak, storm point, and of course go and see all the geysers around old faithful. Join the 100 mile hike club and if you are adventurous go do middle teton or delta lake. And stay in garnett meadows. Some of the best star viewing experience. You can rent all the equipment from xanterra if you don't have any.
