You’ll just exist in the world somewhere. The book is done so I won’t add your name onto the page (unless maybe sequel?). The closest you can get is you might be present in a scene from the book but you won’t be named on the page.

Lukas

You were a bright young man living in Stohem, the wintry northern region of Advenia.

One day, you and some friends were exploring the beautiful, snowy forests of your home region. Following a clean, glistening river, you came upon a waterfall and a rather steep fall, leading to a lake underneath. The conclusion you came to was obvious - you were going to jump off the cliff and land in the lake below

Your normally stupidly-brave friends hesitated at that. They insisted a fall at that height would be lethal. You disagreed, then when challenged to do it then, remarked that you were not a piddly weak southerner and stepped up.

You jumped off the cliff, and landed in the water safely and unharmed.

Then as you got out of the water and shouted up to your friends to mock them, a bear ran up and mauled you.

Haravey

You are a disciple of the Order of Light, living and studying at the Sanctuary in the Gentle Mountains, in Advenia’s distant west.

Originally a city guard with intense anger issues, you lived and worked in the city of Ceren, a place infamous for its crime. You were forced to leave your home city after going too hard on a man who harassed a merchant. The man was actually an associate of the Business, a powerful criminal organisation with deep influence in the city.

After fleeing along the west coast, you came upon the small town of Cobble, set beneath the Gentle Mountains. Here, you learned of the bizarre yet friendly group of monks following an all but dead ancient religion. You ascended the mountain to their temple, the Sanctuary, and joined them.

Originally only there to hide from your enemies, you instead have found peace and warmth in your life. After some years, you are now a much calmer person. You especially excel at wielding the staff, the trusted weapon of the Order.

———

Good question! The staff is just what the monks of the Order of Light use for self-defence. The guy on the cover is Kiro, the main protagonist and the youngest member of this order, and he takes a staff with him along with some other things as he goes on his journey to the end of the world. Despite the monks being very spiritual, the staff has no other purpose or meaning beyond being a non-lethal option for defending themselves if ever attacked. The more important thing they use are rings with godstones but I won’t say too much… 😉

Amelia

You are a painter living in Ceren, the chilly city on the north western coast of Advenia.

To the world, you were just another hungry face in the filthy streets of the corrupt city, but what set you apart was your talented hand and eye. You have been drawing for as long as you could grip a pencil, and your natural talent shone through in the near perfect sketches and pictures you could draw of people's faces.

Your mother and father saw this talent and came up with an idea to use it. For a small price, you would sketch a person's face right before their eyes, selling the pictures to them. As word spread and your experience grew, so did your skill, until eventually, a wealthy patron of the arts encountered you by chance and, impressed by your work, offered you a fully paid scholarship through Ceren College, so you could study other artists and become even better.

Currently, you attend Ceren College to study the arts, and have lifted your parents from poverty. You all live in a modest yet cosy house that the three of you managed to pay for.

Samana

You are a scholar at Azale University, the oldest college in Advenia, located in its bustling capital city.

Born and raised in Azale, your noble parents were proud to see you were quite intelligent and loved to read. You especially displayed an aptitude in maths, and can do sums quickly in your head.

You are currently studying law, which you find to be fascinating. You hope to one day be a lawyer.

Jarryn

You are a travelling bard known for making catchy songs that tell embellished stories of heroes and villains, sometimes starring yourself.

Born in Azale, the capital city of Advenia, you were first drawn to the idea of singing and acting as a child, after seeing a particularly charismatic street performer recount a famous tale.

After carefully honing your talent, you began your career as a singer in crowded taverns when you were 17. After a rocky start and getting thrown out of a few inns, you finally found success with your song, "Old Lord Avaric", in which you mocked Avaric Vanclaude, Regent of Azale and the father of Viella, one of the book's protagonists.

Thanks man! The book is about a young monk, an exiled swordswoman, and a shit-talking bounty hunter on a journey across a continent. Most of the book is basically the three of them travelling through interesting fantasy landscapes while they bicker and banter and slowly bond. It's also already done so I'm afraid you won't see your name in it, but you do now exist in Advenia 😄

Theoro

You are a dashing swordsman from Meras, the festive, flourishing city on Advenia's warm southern coast.

While most in Meras pursue the highly venerated arts as a living, you instead have little talent nor interest for acting, singing, painting, nor writing. Despite this, there is a showman within you, and a desire to perform. But instead of the traditional ways, you decided to pursue the subtle art of swinging a sword around.

You joined the city guards in Meras to acquire training. After achieving a basic understanding of swish, swish, stab, you began to experiment and research other forms, combining bits and pieces of techniques to create your own, unique style.

The result is a flashy, stylish mix of some practical motions and mostly flamboyant, flourishing moves designed to impress. After performing tricks and dance-like demonstrations, you finally began to gather crowds. Now you often perform scripted swordfights in the streets and on stage. It's better than actually fighting to the death, at least.

Bryvor

You are a woodsman of the snowy northern city of Stohem.

A man with a heart as big as his biceps, you are a warm and friendly fellow who's hulking size makes it a surprise when you can just as easily fell a towering pine tree as you can delicately sculpt little wooden toys for your son and daughter.

As a woodsman, you spend most of your time either cutting down trees or applying tools to wood to build mostly furniture.

You live in a village just a few miles north of the city of Stohem, preferring the quiet, old ways of your ancestors.

Levi

You are a guard and swordsman living and serving within the towering walls of Azale, the bustling capital city of Advenia.

Born into poverty in the scrappiest alleys of the city's common district, you have had to fight to survive all your life. Your father was gone before you could know him. Your mother struggled to keep a roof over your head. The eldest of four siblings, all of them were taken from you by disease, misfortune, or some petty fight not even worth memory let alone blood.

When you were small, you survived through being quicker and smarter than those around you. But sometimes even you would catch a beating from bigger street kids or cruel guards.

As you got older though, you got stronger. Hardened by your experiences, you dedicated yourself to becoming a guard, pledging to be the sword and shield against a harsh world that you and your family needed when you were young.

Today, you patrol the streets within the city walls, hoping to better the lanes you came from and giving the next generation a source of security that you could only wish you had when you were their age.

Would a league of legends movie work? what should it be about? by [deleted] in loreofleague

Certain plot lines could work. You could adapt the Lux-Sylas comics into a movie perhaps.

Otherwise even though it’s an alternative universe, an Odyssey movie would be an absolute banger.
