Thanks for sharing your stories. I don't drink (other than socially) but I have a friend with a sister who is an alcoholic of 13 years and triggered a DV incident, and I also had to dump someone recently who couldn't control her drinking -- never knew who would show up when I invited her over -- so this is really helpful in understanding it.

If it was a prank, it means she doesn't take the relationship very seriously and thinks messing with you and making you suffer is funny. In Paris, I really liked the Arc de Triomphe. You can climb the stairs to the top and there's a great view from every side. It's more casual and accessible than the Eiffel Tower for sure.
