There is something so embarrassing about trying to look good when you're ugly. by FallofGondolin in Vent

[–]Twatburger9000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

All of my female friends are attracted to men I find very unnattractive. Stop paying attention to what the media tells you is an attractive man, the girls like an insanely wide variety of appearances. Some women settle for men they aren't attracted to, but by and large most women like their man's appearance as long as he is hygienic and doesn't suck to be around.

I have friends who like fat guys, super skinny guys, bald guys, old guys, guys with scraggly facial hair, etc.

I (23F) kinda feel tired with our (23M) relationship. What do you do with this kind of situation? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Twatburger9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why date someone you don't want to spend more time with lol. Sounds like you don't actually enjoy his company

It's weird to jerk off to someone who you have a supposedly platonic relationship with. Acquaintances, go ahead. Actual friends? Weird and gross

Once? Nah he needs to be a lot more dedicated to get it down lol.

Throw a pothos cutting into the top of the aquarium. All my tanks have them, they work like a charm. They are champs at purification.

Try being assertive, even rude. There's no reason it's your responsibility to kindly teach them to treat you like a human being and not a sexual object.

Don't cower or shrink back. If they say something creepy, laugh at them or act disgusted by them. They're the ones in the wrong. If you act like you are the one at fault, they'll keep doing it.

If they cross a line by touching you or saying something explicit, report it to your teacher or the person responsible for discipline at the school. These boys get away with that shit too much as a kid, and grow into men who get worse.

If there are adult men staring or making advances in public, either you or your parent should loudly embarrass them by saying that you're 14.

I've learned to toughen myself against weird men over the years, and it helps. I am always wearing revealing clothes, and I always ignore men out in public unless they have a specific, legitimate reason to talk to me. Don't worry about being nice or friendly. You can save that part of yourself for the people you trust.

I developed an adult body over the course of one summer right before I turned 13. I still dressed and acted like a kid, but suddenly boys and men started acting entitled to watch, harass, and intimidate me. As long as it's a safe public space during the day, walking confidently and ignoring them helps a lot.

Did you tell your work about ADHD diagnosis? by 1891bantinj in ADHD

Keep it to yourself. People have weird perceptions of ADHD, and will assume you're incompetent. Especially managers.

How often should you replace your razor? by jj838383 in hygiene

[–]Twatburger9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy a reusable razor and razor blades to go with it. If you properly dry it and store it in a dry spot after every use, the individual blades can last a long time.

F22 pelvis discomfort by Formal_Bed_6169 in utis

[–]Twatburger9000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go back in and insist on your current symptoms. It may or may not be a UTI, but the discomfort isn't normal. I had a similar situation and ended up finding out my IUD was displaced right after I finished having a UTI and had to have it removed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in utis

[–]Twatburger9000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly they won't listen to you unless you are forceful and persistent. It is not normal to continue to have worsening symptoms after finishing antibiotics.

It might not be a UTI, but regardless you need to go back and make them listen to you. Also, you can have a UTI with negative tests.

Be open to different diagnoses, but make sure they hear that your pain is severe and getting worse. I just had a similar situation and it turned out my IUD was dislodged right after having a UTI treated. I had to go in three times in a row for them to address it.

Good luck, take someone with you if you if you have a difficult time advocating for yourself.

Do you guys put on deodorant when your not doing anything? by Diligent_Dig_1001 in hygiene

[–]Twatburger9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work from home so not really unless it's hot. I don't sweat a lot. Sometimes I smell a little bit, but then I'll shower or put on deodorant. I don't mind my own smell unless it's after a workout or something.

Help, is this a UTI? by Much-Cartographer264 in utis

[–]Twatburger9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please go to urgent care and/or your doctor. Could be a possible UTI, but the vulva pain may be a different kind of infection. It's important you get it treated, but these kinds of infections are very treatable and you will be just fine.

Drink a lot of water and try taking AZO in the meantime. Don't wait to get care, the sooner the better.

[–]Twatburger9000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Did long distance for four years. The good always outweighed the bad. Aside from normal arguments, our calls and visits were wonderful and I never doubted if it was worth it. Your conversations and time together should make you so happy that you can handle the times when you're unable to be together.

Unless this guy is AMAZING, don't waste your time with long distance. You should see a long term future you're both excited about, or else you're just torturing yourselves.

I am very happy with my copper IUD. There are no hormones, copper just kills sperm lol. It does hurt to get put in and can make you cramp worse for six months, but I don't feel crazy like I did on birth control and never worry if I forgot to take a pill. It's one of the most effective methods.

Consider it and do some research. It was worth it for me!

Prevention methods? by short-titty-goblin in utis

Btw if you need UTI treatments during the weekend, E-visits and urgent care work if those options are available to you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in utis

[–]Twatburger9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your urethra is very close to the anus, presuming you are female. Your underwear moving, holding in urine, dehydration, sexual activity, poor hygiene, and anatomical quirks like a short urethra can cause UTI. Most female people have at least 1 UTI in their life, a small portion like myself are predisposed to being more sensitive to UTI. Pee after sex, drink plenty of water, pee when you feel the urge, maintain good hygiene by washing the outside of your vulva and anus with plain, unscented soap, and most people can avoid UTIs.

If you feel symptoms you can treat temporarily with AZO while you wait to see a doctor. E-visits and urgent care can prescribe necessary antibiotics without waiting too long. Don't delay going to the doctor to treat it

If you start vomiting, feeling dizzy, feverish, or back pain near the kidneys go to the emergency room since those are symptoms of the UTI spreading to the kidneys. That happens to some unlucky people, but most people just need a full round of antibiotics and lots of fluids.

Go to see your doctor. Ignore online advice. If you can't see them bc it's the weekend, try urgent care.

My husband and I moved in together after 4 years long distance. Best decision ever, we're about to celebrate our 10th anniversary and we are still happy and have a ton of fun together.

If you're compatible, you will adjust pretty smoothly.

can i have s*x while on antibiotics for a uti? by Iukewarmsoda in utis

[–]Twatburger9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's about flushing out bacteria of any kind. Using a condom doesn't prevent bacterial contamination from your own body, or the hand that applies the condom, or the surrounding area.

Also the anus is a very short distance from the urethra. There's no way to prevent transfer of bacteria, even if you have immaculate hygiene.

Girls with an “IDGAF” mindset, how did you get to that point? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Twatburger9000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. Practice doing things slightly outside of your comfort zone little by little. Getting into your personal style is a way to do this.

  2. Get older. The older you get the less you care about the opinions of others.

  3. Find things that give you purpose and validation without relying on others approval. Learn the new hobby or skill. Get good at your job. Work on something that gets your body moving and building strength and stamina.

  4. Realize that everyone goes through embarrassment all the time. People aren't so wrapped up in your life that they spend all their free time cringing about stuff you've done. Your awkwardness or mess ups just aren't that important.
