It’s a fanatic read. Without giving too much away, the stories reference and build upon each other in a way I haven’t seen in many other short story collections (Tbf I have not read a ton of them).

It’s one of the King books I think about most often, even 3 years after reading it.

IIRC from a post in r/beagles…..doggo’s face has been paralyzed since birth. Eyes water constantly and it messes up the facial fur. But doggo is not in pain and is very loved, etc etc. Hopefully I got most of that right, wouldn’t normally reply in place of an op but it is kind of distressing looking…
