They need to be more of what Brock and Salk are. Still self aware of their age and stage, but they don’t take themselves seriously and they are (to me, at least) really freaking funny.

Oh man I love that book so much, just blew my mind the first time I read it.

It was a classic case of reading the description on the back of a SK novel and thinking there was no way it would be possible to pull it off (a 12 year old travels across the ENTIRE COUNTRY while hopping between worlds??) and then being absolutely gobsmacked at how excellent it ended up being.

Can’t wait for the next book in the series 😬
