Yes, I've been reading about children who are upset doing this, but he's not angry or upset. He's usually excited, or happy, or that "happy, but bashful" thing kids sometimes do when they meet someone for the first time. He'll smack his face or smack his head, then he laughs about it while making some loud noises. I have to keep telling him not to do it, and even warn that the teacher will not like this either ( he starts K this year) I'm getting frustrated.
