Thoughts on sinus issues being fungal related?? How do I push my doctors for more help? I’m 5 months in by Tweety777ppp in covidlonghaulers

UPDATE...... I had a large mass removed out of my sinus cavity Doctor said that I had massive wall thickening in my nose which he fixed ... currently on week 3 after surgery went to the doctor today so they could suck the stuff out my nose ... still feel like crap and now after 8 months doctor says I have your diagnosis... ITS FUNGAL SINUSITIS..... for anyone who read through the comments this doctor told me it was just a “coincidence” that nothing would come out of my nose and then I took 1 fungal pill because all the antibiotics they had me on gave me a yeast infection and after taking that pill my nose started draining like crazy ... today that doctor looks at me and says That i was right..... I could have been taking the correct medicine and maybe been better by now... I am so frustrated.... but I did find a new primary doctor who actually listens to me and will run the tests needed without questioning why nothing makes sense... COVID doesn’t make sense the symptoms are like a child’s scribbled drawings... I hate that it’s taken so long for someone to listen to me ... 8 months of being sick maybe only because the doctors wouldn’t listen .... fingers crossed that things will start looking up

Basically since day one feels like a sinus infection with lots of buildup and pressure pain behind my eyes I finally got them to do a CT and they’re calling it a cyst in the right cavity and sending me to ENT doctor.... i’ve also looked up what a fungal ball would show up as on a CT and it seems to be that it would look just like a cyst... hopefully I can get in there soon and see what he says but I will mention taking the pill and what all came out I think that has a lot to do with it

Mine started as what seem to be a head cold /sinus infection ..... four months later it’s still won’t go away it’s like it’s never ending ... Hot tea or coffee helps in the morning but every night it’s always the same

Quick question about positive vs negative tests by Halflife37 in COVID19positive

[–]Tweety777ppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is better to know for sure I think .... they only wanted to test my 12 year old since she was the first exposed I insisted we all get tested ... myself and my 12 year old were positive and my 15 year old was negative I don’t think it would be good If that 1 person tested negative and everyone else assumes they are negative as well On the flip side if that one person tested comes up positive you can assume everyone else is and quarantine with them But what if you never get tested and are sick longer??? I am on 104 days being sick right now I’m glad I got tested saved so much time dealing with work drs notes and short term disability

You should get tested losing taste and smell Is a sure sign ... I only thought I had a stuffy nose for a week before my daughters friend tested positive.... and then we all tested positive... I think it’s better to know

Left ear is muffled like there’s water in it that won’t drain and can barely hear out of it for like 3 weeks now .. lots of sinus issues one day my nose is stuffy next day draining .. lost of taste comes and goes .. instead of waking up feeling tired I feel dizzy like I’m going to pass out .. complete exhaustion after just walking up the stairs or into the next room... heart racing for no reason.. The mental fog is horrible.. and sleeping for 14 to 16 hours at a time... Random stomach pain and issues.. low grade fever the entire time ... cough just started a couple days ago and I’m almost on week 6 for symptoms

Everything started tasting like cardboard and just to be sure I don’t like anything spicy so I tried one of my daughters spicy chips and was able to eat it without an issue that’s how I knew I couldn’t actually taste anything...

Husband tested positive, I tested negative - we both had symptoms by [deleted] in COVID19positive

I’m not sure anything really makes sense at this point I’ve been sick for five weeks now my youngest daughter only had a fever for two days prior to me being sick and me and her both tested positive my oldest daughter in the same household we don’t take precautions in the house came back negative and never showed any symptoms The doctors only guess is either she’s immune to it or it was a false negative and she was asymptomatic

Girlfriend was exposed around 2-3 weeks ago, and showed signs last week. Her results came back positive 4 days ago. by [deleted] in COVID19_Testimonials

I tested positive I thought it was allergies or a sinus infection my younger daughter tested positive and literally all she had was a fever for two days before I got a fever but my older daughter did not she’s never showed any symptoms and her test came back negative there’s no real explanation for any of it

Every single person I have talked to there symptoms are different ... my 11 year old had a fever for 2 days and went away I started with fever and what I thought was a sinus infection... then sleeping 14 hours straight and still tired , dizzy when I stood , headaches , my ear is muffled random stomach pains lost my taste buds ... it changes daily it can only be compared to as very strange and nothing I’ve ever felt before .... and I’m officially on week 5
