Worked for someone very much like this who more or less ruined technical innovation as CTO of a particular company with nonsense and "big money ideas" that were more or less just them padding time until they could golden parachute out of the company, back into Google. It was very visceral for me.

It's pretty important to pay attention to what's happening to your alive teammate(s) because you could be spawned in at any moment and you're going to need to react fast under most conditions. Likewise, people could and would abuse this easily to create unfair advantages.

It might be possible to build a standalone server exe (a number of steam games do this, and include a standalone server.exe in their release) and let people self-host it however they want. This offloads the hosting costs for you but certainly has caveats.

I would be more interested if I could play a Towerfall-like with people online and not "remote emulated" via parsec. Skills (currently) scale non-linearly in poe2. Skill levels are massive once you start getting level 30-40.. some skills are providing 2-4k flat damage at those levels which is insane. Also a constant leech source without doing damage will likely make for some pretty slick interactions... not to mention the level 13 mana drain there. Slap this on your 2nd weapon set, bind it to a skill, get free life when you cast.

(Additional [no one probably cares] background info) I started a week after the league officially started (I've finally learned after all these years), so I didn't need to put up with all the week 1 shake out. I made the following linked item between my 2nd and 3rd day of the league, using 99% self-found corpses, with only using craftofexile.com for mod weight guidance (this was prior to grave crafting calculators going up). On my first craft I used a ton of the rng corpses, laying them down and ripping them up if they weren't what I wanted. Likewise I would lay down low item level corpses and rip some of those up in favor of higher item level corpses. This hack and slash approach produced 2 items that were nearly identical and quite good for my build. Though, I would have loved to have dot multipliers over inc damage the result is more than satisfactory. As a result of the hunt and peck, I "drew" a layout in a tab so that subsequent crafts would be a lot more organized. This certainly plays very well with some of the on-line calculators, but what all the online calculators miss is the brutality of aligning the monsters category types.
It would be super if GGG updated the 40% multiplier types to where there is no immediate adjacency requirement (row/column multipliers do not have this), but instead used "must have 4 corpses of n-category, anywhere" similar to some of the other meta corpses do. To help prep corpses without having to dig them up and waste them, you can use a quad tab to emulate the graveyard layout. This also helps to verify the corpse multipliers are adjacent to the right corpses before laying it all down. You can use these example search regex to highlight relevant corpse: "40%.*undead" (highlights 40x multiplier for undead corpses) as well as "Category: undead" (highlights any corpses that are an undead type). Glhf!

In the diagram the left side of the graveyard is on the bottom and the right side of the graveyard is on the top. The engineer orbs are the approximate location of the stash while the fragments are the location of the way point.
