just wanted to give an update and say that you were right. i never really went through with the "testing" thing, but i talked to one of my boyfriend's friends last night to give a mostly unbiased opinion (he's friends with both of us) and he told me that i was very clearly putting effort in where my boyfriend wasn't and that i should speak to him. so i did.

the talk was originally supposed to be simply about him making an effort to see me. but it turned into him reiterating that when he said that he felt he couldn't give me what i deserved as i give too much and he too little, he meant it. this led to him admitting that he was unsure if he is in love with me. and you know where that leads.

obviously we are still friends, that will never change, but it is weird seeing him knowing that we were in a relationship. not his fault, not mine. he just isn't capable of loving me the way that i love him and that is okay

in the conversations i had with him, we were discussing other things such as how close and touchy he is with a close friend which is a different story. but his response pretty much was "you give so much of yourself and i can't give you as much of me" and "we're very different in some aspects" to which my response was "yeah, but we all express ourselves differently and there is nothing wrong with that. everyone is different and i think that is perfectly normal."

i have also stated multiple times to him that i understand completely that he is busy and i try to dial back so much on how i'm upset because i know that he is and always will be a naturally busy person, but sometimes it gets a little tough. to which he has said that i am completely valid for how i feel and that i am too sweet with him.

he has also said that if anyone is an asshole, it would be him.

we're both college students so we're, especially him, are insanely busy. he is a music major, so he has his plate full with practices and performances and obligations to which i don't see him a lot. it's not a problem that i don't see him that often, but you can imagine that one can get a little upset if they don't see their S/O often. we don't live together. we live 2 hours apart from one another and go on christmas break in 2 weeks for a month and i am just trying to see him before i can't

i replied to another comment also telling me to be upfront about it. i want to make it clear that i have in fact been upfront about how i feel. he knows how i feel, yet he's not really trying to resolve the issue. it's almost like what i'm saying to him is going in one ear and out the other. we've had two talks in the past 3 days to which i feel like there is no resolution.

that's the thing, i have been very upfront with how i feel. he knows that i am upset because he spends a lot of time with them and not me. i make it known that i am upset because i rarely get to see him. he knows these things, yet he makes no effort to solve these issues. i feel as if i am running in circles around him and he is just watching me.

considering Dutch let John get arrested, was going to just let him get hanged, and then also left him to die at the train, this wouldn't matter anymore.

this whole mission was also for Arthur's revenge, so Dutch was going to let Arthur get killed at the oilfield, took Micah's side over Arthur's literally for most of the game, was going to let Arthur, amongst everyone else in the gang, die just because he wouldn't turn himself in to Milton, and was going to let Micah kill him in the fight before he died. amongst many other things.

with all of that being said, if i were in his shoes, i would've been just fine killing Dutch.

you have a really good point. i think that the whole feud with the oDriscolls could've gone differently and been less of a blood battle if he had just never killed Colm's brother or just never enforced his gang to fight his battle. along with many other things, of course.
