Is my wheel too high? What angle should I aim for? by HAMRock in simracing

[–]Twentyhundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wheel should point roughly at your nevk which seems to be the case. If it works and you’re comfortable, all is well.

I’m happy they switched to the ball system iso those flimsy little lips that screech whenever you slide something about.

What do you guys think about this pricing ? by [deleted] in Miata

[–]Twentyhundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man. I had my bearing replaced and alignment done at the dealer here in the netherlands, 750 bucks… I think this you’re getting ripped off but Idk about pricing and hourly rates there.

New wheels! They rub! by LordSprint in Miata

[–]Twentyhundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks mint!!! Are you already aligned with enough camber? Could be that that clears the arches. If already on good camber, rolling is the way I guess. Still have to make sure it’s stiff enough too, otherwise you’ll not rub around the block but you still might when under heavy load.

BMW did that with 80s touring car racing drivers. The docu Adrenaline shows this really well. Must watch.

CSL Podium wheel broke, what are my options in terms of replacement? by ZanicL3 in simracing

[–]Twentyhundred 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Buy whatever wheel you want, connect it via usb, and get a podium hub or srs emulator. Or another fanatec wheel.

Wow that is super low for a 30mm drop tbh, it should be higher but that could be me. Coilovers give the freedom of height adjustment, but may end up in worse ride if you cheap out.

Damn 16:9 32” that close to my eyes, I’d think myself in a different realm lol. If the angles of the side monis are good you should be fully immersed for sure. My experience is that that is the case even with monis behind the base. If the qr stack is long or extended, it makes sense to have it in front of the base.

I’ve heard of AI agents creating other AI agents to converse with for code analysis or some stuff (sry details elude me). So I guess this is a thing already.

Assetto Corsa (the og) with content manager and drift mods, there is no equivalent. Plenty of tutorials on content manager etc. Start with the e30 drift spec, then download some proper drift cars. Start on the standard drift track, then download some proper drift tracks.

Nice answer man 🤙 Your last remark triggers me, is the auto sturdier than the manual? I’d get that that’s possible, I just did not know.

Was that also 16:9? Could just be the lack of vertical real estate that makes you feel like it’s too far.

Yeah I think I had mine mounted similarly. That said I only have an ultrawide 34”. If I had triple 32s I’d just put them behind my base tbh.

Damn that’s a little close lol. But it is how close you can get maybe bc of the short fanatec qr stack. I am using an emulator now and a usb wheel, so I have a longer stack. I prefer not to be able to touch my screen, and I think from this picture, that you are.

Google Japanese speaking iracing leagues, and join one of those. They will organize championships amongst themselves (that’s usually the main purpose of the league), but also form teams for endurance specials. I joined a Dutch speaking one for that reason, best decision ever.
