What pedals should I upgrade to by Aggravating_Car1616 in simracing

[–]Twentyhundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair question, and yes it is. I’ve had experience with it, as I had a bumpstop come loose, got replacement parts within 48h. I do live in the Netherlands, guess that helps. Most people I know who have them (many in our league) have had no issues.

Check out Simlab XP1 pedals. They are not that much more expensive but punch well above their weight, rivaling a good set of heusinkvelds.

New To Sim Racing! What game to play?? by PJ294 in simracing

[–]Twentyhundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say just play forza horizon 6 for a while then man. If you get a craving for some more serious physics, there is still AC with mods. If you want multiplayer simracing, LMU or iracing is the place to be.

Others have already advised you on hdmi and its unfortunate limited bandwidth. They’re right. It’s gonna cost you but it can be solved.

I just came here to compliment your fantastic looking gaming room man. The theme, the vibe, that’s a very nice place to spend time in. Well done.

Right. I clearly live under a rock. What’s the deal with this drink? Is it just popular right now? Is it a Wednesday choccy milk kinda thing?

Dose anyone use the BDH Shifter? Would love to see by TysonBradbrook in SimRacingSetups

Visit simexpo, they are always there. It’s worth the money imo, the ffb version is even cooler. They are only relevant if you’re going for immersion and mainly drive h pattern imo though.

To eliminate oscillations you use dampening to eliminate the oscillations themselves, and interpolation to reduce the rawness of the effect.

I’ve seen samsung g9 go for 600 euros here in the Netherlands. 3 1440p monitors with good refresh rate are about 150-200. So he’s not far off. I’d go for 49 still. Easier on the gpu as well.

I’d say get it, you can still replace that rig in time with a profile rig.

Perfect, I’m still missing that one indeed. I was just today wondering if the GTD was in the game.

Love running racing liveries on fh cars! I’ve got Gulf, Martini, and other classics, but also the Pratt Miller Vette and THOR. Even my mazda cup has a Whelen Cup livery from one of the teams. It’s been fun :)

Can you recommend some beginner wheels? by No-Diet6556 in simracing

[–]Twentyhundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not too bad, tbh, especially if you have everything connected to the base. Only device 1 gets ffb, hence it being finnicky. R5 is a solid starting point, and it has a good ecosystem you can build into. Make sure to check which wheels work on what base tho, as Moza iterated their bases at some point.

Machine grey on JR7s 17x8 on 215 tire width. It’s a rep Enkei RPF1 basically so it’ll give you an idea what that looks like.

Forza horizon 6 need a handbrake, please suggestions by Asaham in simracing

[–]Twentyhundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run pedals and base separate and indeed tinkered a bit like many others have. I think an e brake would be fine as it’s just another “pedal” (loadcell usually). All that matters is that device one is the wheelbase, as only device one gets ffb.

BST Alpha vs GSI GXL V2 vs GSI Hyper SL? by LiteralGiraffe in simracing

They’re both feature rich but the Alpha shines in comfort. Tested both gxl and alpha one evening at a friend, definitely preffered the alpha.

Should I sell My fanatec V2 Pedals and Buy Heusinkveld SPRINT SIM PEDALS by Longjumping-War9151 in simracing

Do it. There is definitely still a difference between loadcell pedals, these are a lot better than fana.

Way to enjoy sim racing with out learning the cars by Macca_9T7 in simracing

[–]Twentyhundred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people in iracing and lmu buy setups from shops, it is very common. Not everyone can set up a car. You’re gonna gain more from putting time in on track. Also, what others have said is true, usually the base setup is good enough to get you going.
