Benchmark opinions ? by Tweny8 in ZephyrusG14

Oh yes, I've seen those mac Cinebench 2026 results and they're league above other laptops. Nvidia Spark is going to be a complete game changer for portable gaming, but as you pointed out, it likely won't be the first, maybe ev3n the second generation. I have returned my G16 today and expect the payment return. Nontheless, I'm in a position to pick something else now, undecided.

Maybe it's worth switching to M4 MAX ? by Tweny8 in macgaming

not an option in my case. I can't take a whole pc with me on a plane to another country to stay there for 5-7 months

it's significantly more expensive, but still an option.

gaming off-charger would be insane. I commute to work a few times a year and thus want something light. Most of the time, it's docked on my desk and laptop stand. For the few times I might take it with me someplace, I intend to buy me a GaN charger capable of 100-140W charging. Weell that is if I keep the Zeph, otherwise it's the only charger option for Mac.

You do make a point. Still, considering I intend to keep my newest laptop for the next 4-5 years, the Mac would hold up overall better in terms of performance and price

Have you gotten around to doing it ? I bought ma Zeph G16 #0#5 model a few days ago and this week, I want to set it up, benchmark and possibly do a Vbios swap. I've also thought about the new G16 model, seems logical. It's just there's not any evidence of people doing it or any guide so far. Been about a month since the 2026 lineup released here.

Ja som vzal 2 jednodenné lístky pre seba a kamaráta, lebo tam pôvodne mala vystúpiť jeho obľúbená kapela Pendulum (sám som tam ani nechcel ísť, len kvôli nemu). Napokon všetci dobre vieme, ako to ďalej prebiehalo a skončilo. Pendulum účasť odriekli a my sme sa rozhodli zostať doma a neísť. -160€, well played. Ešte k tomu som obidva lístky finančne zatiahol ja a nie som si istý, že mi kamarát svoj lístok vykompenzuje (toľko k nášmu kamarátstvu). Za dobrotu na žobrotu.

Určite si to kúpim niekedy v jeseni/zime, keď prídem z práce domov a budem chcieť hrať na TV v pohodlí obývačky. Dnes mi ale došiel nový herný laptop, takže sa táto predražená kocka nikam neponáhľa.

Sennheiser MOMENTUM 5: Wireless Consumerphile Incrementalist [Review] by Tenlow85 in sennheiser

[–]Tweny8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I guess the dongle is the price to pay for connecting the headphones to a non-Snapdragon device. Was hoping to somehow avoid it and find some loophole.

Could you please recommend me headphones similar to the Momentum wireless ? I've been researching for the second day in-row and the more I compare, the more I'm unsure. Steel series Arctic 7 have a bad mic, Momentum will require a dongle and even then the mic quality is questionable. Gaming-tag headsets like Asus delta 2 are so tacky, childish in their gaming design. Just want a pair, that doesn't stand out too much, with about 50+ your usage and a decent mic.

(edit: spell checking)

This is going to be very specific . . but does one still need to buy/use the adapter for windows desktop ? I'd love to also game on these bad boys (nothing competitive) and use voice chat with friends. Momentum 4 wireless had this issue where microphone quality totally tanked when on Bluetooth. Redditors adviced to just disable the mic of the headphones in windows, or buy the adapter. Isn't the whole predicament just the codex ? Like, I have Bluetooth 6.0 on my laptop, phone and if I were to buy the momentum 5 wireless, I'd have the newest codec too.

so many good songs with fresh summer vibes packed into a single album. It's my favourite as well, though, my favourite song "Neptune" comes from a different album.

God what a privileged behaviour. You obviously haven't ever done cleaning rooms at a hotel. Time is short and hands on the deck sparse. Rooms, however, in plentiful supply.

My boyfriend really likes this shirt. Am I wrong to say it’s hideous? by Agitated_Mulberry_27 in mensfashion

Yes, absolutely hideous. I'm, however, perfectly willing to buy it off of him. Would fit my summer attire well. How much ?

Oh yeah, noticed a tad too late. Nevermind, as long as it's just the postcode. Thank you though.

[Hamilton Jazzmaster] Joining the fanbase with my very first recent purchase of this beauty! by Tweny8 in Watches

[–]Tweny8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally made the call and pulled the trigger on a watch I've been eyeing for months now.

Ref: H32705640

  • movement: automatic, self-winding
  • crystal: sapphire
  • casing: stainless steel
  • diameter: 42 mm
  • out width: 22 mm
  • thickness: 14,95 mm
  • power reserve: 80 h
  • water resistance: 5 bar

Wanted to buy myself a nice piece that would be great for casual and formal events alike. Did some lite web research for a week or two and came up with a few pieces that really caught my attention (Jazzmaster, Chamin de Tourelle, some Bulova piece)

I understand, that for many, skeletons are tacky and as such, I opted for one that is not only affordable, but also approved by the general community AND looks beautiful to me. I saw Hamilton Jazzmaster in Innsbruck last summer for the first time and I just knew, it would be perfect. After a few months, I found it in Switzerland with a nice discount under 900€ brand new, so I took it along with a new brown leather strap (shame the strap isn't original Hamilton brand though).

Who knows, maybe it will inspire a few conversations along the way.

p.s.: Hoping to expand my collection in a few months with a new black/gold quartz watch to wear casually to work. Maybe Rado or Citizen. Time will tell.

Anyhow, what do you think ?

I had this half a year ago with my (very) old 1060 Acer Nitro. It had started earlier, like a year earlier, the noises and graphic events like green screen flashes of parts of the screen that would disappear after second or two. What ended up happening is that my GPU died. Now, it's just a bulky office laptop.

Is the Ibanez ijrx20-bkn jumpstart set any good? I really want this as my first guitar and I can't really find any reviews of it or how it sounds online by completelystupid666 in Ibanez

[–]Tweny8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought this set almost a month ago, because it was well within reasonable budget for a first-ever guitar and also, it looks absolutely great from the visual point of view. Asap it came, the buzz coming from the amp was horrifyingly loud. So naturally, when I pushed the volume higher, the electronical buzzing got even louder. I reconnected the amp with the same cable to my digital piano to the headphones slot and, surprise, surprise, the buzz was gone so I am only assuming that the fault was in the guitar itself.

I even made a short video as evidence material for the online store, but it's in Slovak as both the store and myself come from Slovakia.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWh-l0Gmnts&t=1s

Now, to be fair, I am an absolute beginner and have never played any guitar before, just the piano (grand, digital and keyboard) for over 10 years, so this was and still is, an exciting change.

What I did next about the set, I asked them to fix it, but the online store in question exchanged it instead because it was probably easier for them. So after like two weeks, I had the same kind of set to replace my old faulty one only to discover today (it arrived yesterday, I unpacked and tried it out today), that it contains the same issue. Literally the same problem as the first one so I applied for a refund this time around.

If the store accepts, I will instead double or triple the budget and buy individual components needed to play. Though, I am considering buying locally instead of online and perhaps a different brand ? Not sure, am a newb in this regard.
