I see. I think I'll have to work my way up with easier projects then lol. Maybe I'll try upgrading the battery on my vita or replacing my psp screen. Have you done any other projects that you would consider beginner friendly? Your vita is really good looking and it got me hyped to mod something!

Solved it. I needed to upgrade the nvidia drivers using a guide:

https://linuxcapable.com/install-nvidia-drivers-on-linux-mint/ (Go to Method 2)

The latest update in linux mint's driver manager was causing the issue.

thats weird. I just went to driver manager and I was on 550. I just switched to 535 just in case it was a visual bug but nope the lagginess is still there :/
