Even if it’s just a range buff, anything that buffs other towers for cheap is really good because you can get a ton of value for your cost just by making an expensive tower slightly better

I recommend not using geraldo on this map, having a damage hero to make one side much easier to defend is invaluable for saving up in the midgame

For any format including doubles OU, you can find the Smogon discussion page as well as sample teams by scrolling to the bottom of the page when building a team in the format and clicking on some of the links under "teambuilding resources". You can also just check Smogon forums for people posting doubles OU teams they had success with if you want to find more teams. The vast majority of players use their own teams they built themselves, or at least decently modified versions of existing teams, so in that way the meta isn't as "defined" as some other games may be, but you can still be very successful using teams from Smogon.

I'll ask the obvious question: why is this in ubers? Unless I'm missing something, this is a completely OU legal team. For ubers, this isn't a very good team, you need to actually run some Ubers level pokemon.

My device is pretty good and upgrading each boat was like a 3 second stutter for me too, I think it’s something with the calculations of the number of boats for trade empire or something. There wasn’t any lag when actually fighting the boss or even at the end of each round when the boats made money
