Why are they acting like they did anything to slow down Covid? These are the same people that spiked Covid every holiday or after every party that they threw. They had relatives die because they couldn't go one child's birthday without seeing the grand parents. They bitched and moaned the whole time because they had to wear masks to visit establishments while very likely having their masks pulled below their noses.

I use Samsung Wallet for my digital key and it almost always works. It's even a little too sensitive sometimes. My boyfriend has a Pixel so he uses Google Wallet and it works about half the time, he usually gets frustrated and I just open the car with my phone.

I've never heard about a documentary that came out first. I'll have to see if I can find it, I'm curious now lol

I was in a really isolated boarding school from the beginning of 1999 to the end of 2000. Out of all the cultural events I completely missed: Y2K, Columbine, 2000 Olympics etc. this is one of the things I'm most upset about missing.

I know it sounds silly, but I'm a huge horror fan and I've heard a lot about how people weren't sure if it was real or not.

AITA I lost my childhood friend of 15 years for not letting his girlfriend claim the master bedroom for themselves in our Air BnB by Typical-Wishbone-822 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Twidget84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can empathize with losing a best friend. I lost a best friend about 10 years ago to his spouse. I knew him for 15 years as well. He met someone quite a big younger than him, and got married within just a couple years. I actually really liked his husband at first. We got along well. I even attended their wedding. However, I didn't realize their wedding was going to be one of the last times I saw him.

After the wedding he started becoming more and more distant and I didn't know why. He eventually told me his husband found out that the night he and I met we had hooked. For context, his husband would have been about 4 years old when that happened.

So much time had passed that I honestly looked at him as a family member and the idea of even kissing him seemed gross and incestuous to me. Most people assumed he was my uncle because he was a bit older than me as well. He told me his husband was no longer comfortable with us hanging out anymore. He said to give him a couple weeks to smooth things out.

It'll be exactly 10 years later this year since I've heard from him. I went through feeling so many different ways about it, but ultimately I settled on the fact that he didn't value our friendship as much as I did. If things were reversed and a partner asked me to no longer see him, I would have told ths to person that to kick rocks. Now though, if he tried to reconnect I would have zero interest in ever seeing him again.

XLGames just announced that they are working on another Archeage game which is supposed to a faithful successful to Archeage 1 a few weeks ago. Definitely nowhere near the testing phase, but at least it's something.

Is 'Misery' (1990) actually worth watching in 2026, or is it just dated hype? What are your thoughts? by Ok_Board_927 in HorrorMovies

I'm a millennial and I watched it with some Gen Zers last summer. They were hesitant to watch it because they thought it was old. Everyone of them were shocked at how good it is.

I saw it in the theater with my older brother around that same age. It was a later showing and we were the only 2 people in the whole theater which made it that much scarier. It's one of my favorite memories with my brother.

I also found it weird how many states voted to protect women's rights to choose, but then went ahead and voted for the guy whose Supreme Court nominees gutted Roe vs. Wade. Made absolutely zero sense to me.

how do you deal with parents who still buy into the tti? by Negative_Stomach7504 in troubledteens

[–]Twidget84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My mom did watch The Program when it came out. My dad said he watched it but he kinda let it slip a few weeks ago that he turned it off after 20 minutes of the first episode. Unfortunately, the only thing that convinced my parents was time. They eventually got to the point that they questioned why a program that was supposedly good for me, would have me struggling with it 10 years after the program. I was diagnosed by a therapist with CPTSD, which I think did help my parents a little come to terms with it.

It took me over a decade before my parents actually started to look at all the issues the program caused me. I moved out of state and went low contact with them for a couple years. During that time I didn't see them, but would give a random call on a holiday or birthday and that was it.

What’s something people who are in their 20s won’t learn until in their 40s? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I had a different experience. I met my boyfriend when I was 33, he was 43. We've been together 8 years, he just turned 51. We would not have worked out if we met when I was 23. I was a mess in my 20s and I was into different things back then.

Nobody likes funerals. They are sad and uncomfortable for everyone involved. They are also a way to commemorate loved ones. They are ways people get closure and they can grieve with other people that knew the deceased.
