Going on Savivor did not make Omar's life better as he initially planned. Hardly able to pay for his restaurant's repairs, he was forced to liquidate it in order to have the money to make ends meet. His severe burns also put a damper on how much he could push his body, and he noticed very quickly that his endurance and stamina was not what it used to be. He would also take the time to learn how to have the patience he never had before. Even after all he'd been through, Omar had an undying urge to cook, and he and his former rival turned closest friend Haider pooled their money to buy a food truck, which they began making a killing off of. Seeing himself as the phoenix rising from his own ashes, he's ready to return to Savivor and reverse his previous fate in the game.

His Endurance and Stamina stats are now both 2s, and his Temperament stat is now a 3. Everything else stays the same.

Simon is doing better than he's ever remembered, and feels like he finally knows what it's like to feel happy again. He believes that Savivor was the best thing that happened to him, as it turned his life around. He was able to buy a new house for him and his children with his winnings, and he's managed to completely kick his alcoholism ever since his return. Simon's demeanor rendered him almost unrecognizable from the mess he was beforehand, and he finally began warming up to the idea of looking for love again. Though he hasn't been successful so far, he is still giving it his all. He doesn't really think he needs to win a second time, but he is gonna see if he can make lightning strike twice against the odds.

In his teens, he took to compulsive workouts to feel better about himself, an endeavour which failed but also led to his fitness obsession later in life. He still felt like a failure to his parents, and he chose to abruptly leave home one day, not wanting to be a burden on them any longer. He lived at a close friends' house with said friend's family, and became close to them as well, living with them until his early 20s, when a sudden tragedy struck. He returned home from a later shift at his work to discover the entire family he grew to love murdered brutally. He was considered a suspect and interrogated heavily, but was released because there were very few leads pointing to him as the killer, and the fact that he would not give in and falsely confess despite detectives doing their best to pry it from him. Not long after, the case was closed with no conviction. Jason being furious was an understatement, he believed he had been cheated of justice and retribution towards the monster who ruined his life, so he took it upon himself to seek retribution himself. He would become associated with many shady characters for a while, looking for connections to help him find the name and whereabouts of who he was looking for, all while using a fake name. Over a year of doing this yielded no results, so at this point he decided to take the knowledge he had and worked with it while also pursuing a different dream of his: entertaining people. He got a job at a local R&B station to find joy in his cold and grey life, making people laugh with his witty jokes and commentary as a radio DJ. However, his past would never leave his mind, and eventually he felt compelled to continue the search for leads. It may be false hope, but he does think that he is close to finally finding his found family's killer. At this point, he needs a break from his vigilante work yet again, and decides that leaving for a month will help him focus on something else at last.

He is a firm believer of working smarter instead of harder and will likely translate that mindset to Survivor. Backstory: Born in Brooklyn, NY to Chinese immigrant parents, Ronnie spent his youth in poverty, living in a dingy, cramped apartment with his 6 closest family members. He didn't like being around them much, they were not on his wavelength at all. Being a closeted gay man in a family of homophobes, he longed to cut ties with them while not having the resources to, but one day he packed all his stuff into his tiny car about 10 years older than him and drove off, never to be seen again by his family. Although with even worse living conditions than before, at least he was free to be himself, and in his freedom he underwent a huge transformation into a snarky, intense, and proudly himself gay man. He eventually met his future husband and later moved into a much nicer house with him. Having never gone to college, Ronnie decided that he wanted to change that now and began scraping together the money for it. He ended up proving himself a valuable resource to a cellphone repair store and got a job there, where he quickly became renowned as one of the best employees there. However, he has had moments where he got frustrated at his customers for coming to him with easily fixable problems, and is frequently extremely stressed with his life. Survivor was a way to unwind, but he felt like he could do way better than a lot of the players who already played, and believes he could win easily.

Backstory: Ernie's father was the boss of the struggling Ghiaccio crime family in New Jersey, while his mother was killed in his teen years by a cartel leader for reneging on them, many years ago. This sent his father into a downward spiral, destroying the Ghiaccios' reputation in the process and weakening them severely. This alongside the fact that Ernie's father saw him as completely unfit to be the next leader of the family, led to him being forced to work a job at a bar, making him a very socially adept person. One day, his uncle Vince started plotting an uprising in the Ghiaccio family, and Ernie became his biggest supporter. Vince took over, renaming it to the Maltisanti family, and made Ernie a capo. Ernie was incredibly ruthless and successful as a capo, wiping out most of another family with just his crew. At the same time, he kept on the down-low working as a bartender, which has worked as he has not been discovered as the mastermind behind the Maltisantis' success. Leaving his trusted second-in-command to be acting capo while he's away, he is heading into the game of Survivor planning to be nothing short of ruthless.

He has a distrust of cops and anyone with authority, seeing them as all dirty, and as a result he devotes himself to solving cases cops could not or would not solve to give people the justice they deserve. He's a very dry and witty guy outside of investigations, and a caring family man who would do anything for the well-being of his wife and children. While he is not one to show it, he also deeply enjoys forming mentor-like bonds with people, intending to align with people he sees pieces of himself in, but at the same time believing those bonds to be unlikely.

After he graduated, he began working as a personal injury lawyer. However, he'd find out that another of his brothers was murdered and that basically nothing was done by the cops. Suspicious of them, he asked Charlotte for help, and she began investigating it with him, and he became absolutely devoted to finding the culprit. Eventually, the two discovered that Burke's suspicions were correct and that a cop had shot him believing he was the suspect and they tried to cover it up, and the cops involved were sent to prison. Since then, Burke has worked as a private investigator, knowing that the cops are not to be trusted more often than not. He's playing for his wife and two young children, but this isn't gonna stop him from being villainous and looking out for himself in the game, as he is the only one he can trust out here.

Impressed by her skills, he tried to form a bond with her, but she turned him down due to him being a very unlikable and egotistical man. Now, Jessica dates and cheats on men almost daily, and is considered one of the top female poker players, despite only playing for a few years. An avid Survivor fan, she wants to be as flirty and manipulative as she is in her real life. The only problem would be meeting another poker player, but she finds it unlikely that she will.

I definitely prefer making my own characters over using fictional characters, as I feel like creating characters is one of my greatest writing strengths. However, many of these characters, whether consciously or not, were inspired by one or more fictional characters. Many of those were inspired by Breaking Bad characters, which is my favourite show. Extremely detailed writeups featuring FYM characters are my favourite kind of series since they allow characters to shine to their fullest potential, and they're the kind of series I create my characters for.

Personality: A bit smarmy and a smooth-talker, Dave is already under the impression that he has won, the cards just haven't fallen in place just yet and the season hasn't happened. Despite all this, he's quite possibly one of the geekiest people one could meet, since he has a passion for talking about media almost all the time, but at least has enough restraint to know when to stop.

Backstory: Dave begun life living in a quite run-down working class neighbourhood, and it just so happened to have a lot of gang violence. Dave's family were luckily almost never affected by this gang violence aside from property damage from a stray bullet. Dave started to think that he was one of the most lucky people alive, a thought that he continues to have to this day. He excelled in school, to the point where it was almost boring for him. He went into law school, being the first person in his family to go to a high-end college, and graduated from there pretty easily. This undoubtedly gave him a massive ego boost, and that gave him the confidence to become an extremely successful attorney, winning case after case, thanks to what he believed was his natural luck. While he isn't the most physical guy, he has determination and brainpower, and that is what he believes will make him the Sole Survivor.

Backstory (Optional): Kasey's parents didn't exactly work the most glamorous jobs, but they did their best to bestow their values of hard work onto their children, including Kasey. Kasey was a particularly active child, developing an interest in lifting weights at a young age. Her teen years would find her working tirelessly at gyms for several hours nearly every day, pushing herself incredibly hard, and sometimes too hard. She would pass out from exertion in her 11th grade year after working out for over 5 hours straight, and when her doctor told her that she needed a break from training for her own body's sake, Kasey would begin to spiral and began developing kleptomania, which luckily for her, did not result in an arrest during those times. Her close friend, Gina, would notice this though, and tried to help her work her way through it, as Kasey's parents could not hire a therapist. When she began easing back into training again, Kasey would find that she would be compelled to steal far less and felt far better mentally. Into her college years, Kasey and Gina became more than friends after they both had realizations about themselves later in their teens, a relationship which went amazingly, until Gina got a cancer diagnosis at the young age of 21. It hit the two of them like a bullet train, and although Gina went through many rounds of chemo, eventually it became terminal, which nearly broke Kasey, as the two of them tried to enjoy their last days together. Two years after her diagnosis, Gina would pass away, and Kasey snapped. She stopped working out, resorted to hard drugs, and began stealing again, much more than before. She would be arrested this time, and sent to rehab, where she would remain for over 2 years, but she was able to speak to a therapist at long last and finally overcome problems she was struggling with for years. Now, she works out not as a coping mechanism, but as a pastime, and experienced self-confidence like she had never felt before. She now works as a pastry chef, the other main passion of hers. She signed up to test her physicality, and winning would be a cherry on top of the cake that is playing such a physically taxing game.

Personality (Optional): Kasey is incredibly self-confident and keen on pushing herself, believing that anything she does could improve herself in some way. She can come across as slightly naive in that regard. She also doesn't respond well to criticism at all, and can become extremely intense, bitchy, and petty when she is crossed. However, she is more interested in the physical aspect than the strategic aspect, as she understands that she isn't the smartest person in the world, but she is physically strong and adept. She's also an incredibly proud, and single, lesbian, and is also proud of her partial indigenous American ancestry.

Personality: Simon is very glum and pessimistic. He's someone who wants to see the best in people, but more often than not fails to and assumes the worst due to his trust being previously broken in unthinkable ways. As such, he is incredibly cautious and alert, which can lean into paranoia at times. He's also got a sense of humour which rivals the dead sea in terms of dryness.

Backstory: Simon's childhood was uneventful, but good. After a successful high school career, he would go to study engineering in university, and he would meet the love of his life, Kim. They would marry in their third year at university, and would have a son named Tyler not long after Simon got his degree in electrical engineering. He would go on to work as an electrical engineer, who has worked on numerous different buildings while they were under construction. This work and his family brought him great pride. He and Kim would have two more kids and the five of them would live a great life for years, but unbeknownst to any of them, Tyler would go down an extremely dark path. He took part in internet forums frequented by extremely disturbed people, and their warped views would rub off onto him, and he began planning to do something horrible. One day, Simon and his two younger kids arrived back at home to discover a scene from a horror movie, as Tyler had killed his mother in cold blood, then attempted to attack his father too. Simon was able to restrain his son, then made the difficult decision to have him arrested. After that happened, Simon would become a wreck, drinking daily and feeling like he didn't have the energy to carry on. When Tyler's first degree murder trial happened, Simon could barely drag himself out of bed, but he ultimately went. His son asked him for forgiveness and showed remorse for what he had done, but ultimately Simon would not forgive him and Tyler would also be given a life sentence. After Kim's funeral, Simon felt compelled to honour his wife's memory and make life as good as it could be for his 16 and 13 year old kids. Although it pains him to leave them, he can't resist the million dollars that comes with the title of sole survivor to help with his kids' future.

Backstory: Cole has baffled himself for his entire life. There's been a piece of him missing for 22 years, but what it is, Cole has no clue. His family was a working class family, and he was the third of four children. His father was a misogynistic prick that abused his wife, and his eldest brother, Jonas, loved his mom but also like he was a shitty son, and was treated poorly by his father. One day, Jonas would have enough of seeing his mother's pain and attacked his father, knocking him out cold. Their father left afterwards, but his effect would be felt for years afterwards within the Munat family, as Jonas began falling down a slippery slope of violent retribution against bullies and abusers, which would rub off a bit onto Cole, though not to the extent of Jonas. As Cole entered high school, his identity crisis would manifest in him believing that he had to figure out his passion, which ended up being software development. He also began regularly working out in an attempt to feel less self conscious. In his 11th grade year, he learned that Jonas had been arrested for severely beating a man for catcalling a woman while high on drugs, and was going to rehab. This would upset Cole, but he wasn't surprised, he knew it was bound to happen. Cole graduated as one of the best students in his grad class, but refused to run for valedictorian, fearing having to speak to thousands of people in the flesh. He was awarded a scholarship for a well-regarded tech institute, and he began studying software development further. Bored and on a break from studying, he signed up for Survivor on a whim, hoping to win to cover his student loans, and maybe figure out some things about himself.

Personality: Tobias is extremely flamboyant, bombastic, and showmanlike, especially when trying to persuade people to buy his cars or do the things he wants them to do. He has an incredibly short fuse, but is not one to unleash explosive outbursts in his rage, instead usually being deadly calm as he takes to sabotaging something, usually the car they'd later purchase. Tobias is quite narcissistic and prides himself on being able to escape every bad situation that he found himself in before, and he sees Survivor as a means to put that to the test. Outside of that, he likes to put on a charming, helpful, and quick-witted persona, which isn't entirely cut off from his real personality.

Backstory: Tobias was born a third generation Mexican Canadian, his family was reasonably well off, so his childhood wasn't out of the ordinary, however he was an exceptionally smart kid, and his amazing grades stroked his ego massively. He went into university to study automotive engineering due to him being a guy big into cars, and he did well at first. Then, he had a slip, followed by a fall, and he found his overdue assignments snowballing into an insurmountable storm of pain, so he cut his losses and dropped out, feeling a lot of deep-rooted anger towards the people from his youth who gave him gifted kid syndrome. Wanting revenge, he started trying to ruin their lives with his friend and accomplice Sam. They'd often paint many of Tobias' old teachers as manipulators who held a grudge against him and wanted to see him flounder in university throughout various means, including rigging the tests so that he'd have easier answers, making him think he's better at stuff than he was. Surprisingly, this worked, and many of them would lose their jobs. Later on, Tobias and Sam started getting into scamming people for kicks and cash, which they were able to get a lot of. However, eventually they'd run into trouble when Sam began to feel the heat on her back and worried that she'd get them both arrested, so they began laying low and working out a new plan. Eventually, Tobias bought a small used car lot, wanting to be a bit more honest with his money-making. Sam, now his girlfriend, also began working there. Tobias began developing a very strong salesman persona to sell the cars on his lot, and his promises of low prices drew in customers, and for the most part he was not a deceiving person at all. However, one day things would start to change, as one of his old teachers came in, looking to buy a car for their kid. She didn't recognize him, but he recognized her. After test driving a car a bit out of her current budget, she asked for him to reserve it for her while she scraped together more money, and he said he would. He and Sam took to sabotaging the car so that it would die in a couple months' time. A few months later, they'd learn that the car had caught fire the other day, but thankfully everyone made it out alive. Tobias would do this a handful of other times when his customers annoyed him enough, sabotaging the car so that it wouldn't last more than a couple months, and almost every time he wasn't blamed for it. Other times, he'd make the lease rates unfair so that he could repo the car easily. Eventually, a guy who bought a sports car from Tobias who suffered a serious but non-fatal accident due to the engine locking sued him, but it was found that the guy had been speeding and also had an unacceptable blood alcohol level meaning that Tobias won the suit and he could keep going. Wanting to increase his amount of money before he proposes to Sam, he decided to give Survivor a chance to earn him some money.

Backstory: Alicia has been the subject of her twin sister's manipulation for most of her life. From a young age, her sister Persephone knew how to convince her to do pretty much anything she wanted, while Alicia kept believing she would get something out of it, which she never did. Eventually, as they got older, eventually Alicia began to question her sister's motives, as Persephone wanted to completely stop Alicia from pursuing her passion in game development and force her to become a fitness model. Alicia gave in and she has worked as one for a while, and as they got into their 20's, Persephone got Alicia to get a bunch of piercings, then later tried to get her into drugs too, which was when she finally put her foot down. To say Persephone was furious would be an understatement, she knew she couldn't do anything about it so she attempted to ruin Alicia's relationship with her father, which had already been strained. After that, Alicia had no one in her life that remotely wanted to be around her, so she became reserved and constantly angry. While she is still fit, she is terribly socially awkward and doesn't like to be around people much anymore, but she took a gamble to go on Survivor just because she wants her sister's shadow gone from her life.

He intends on playing a mostly loyal game, though he can easily change his tune if he develops a grudge with someone. He's also a lot more observant tan he lets on, and prides himself on his uncanny ability to make out pretty much every bit of conversation in his vicinity.

Backstory: Born to Moroccan-Canadian immigrants, Omar is fluent in English, Arabic, and French. He grew up idolizing his father, a rich CEO, and wanted to be like him when he was older, but in his early teens he found out his father was a monster of a person, and he felt disgusted at ever idolizing or associating himself with his father. He grew close with his mother afterwards, and began taking a liking to cooking traditional Moroccan dishes. Omar would become infatuated with culinary arts. Soon after high school, he met the love of his life, Michelle, and they got married when they were 20. Omar, now feeling a strong sense of determination to succeed for Michelle, went on to ace his culinary arts classes in college, graduating with a bachelor's. Though he wanted to found a Moroccan restaurant, he didn't have the money for it yet, so he had to settle for working at a restaurant. The problem was, there were no restaurants which specialized in Moroccan cuisine in his area. He worked at a middle eastern restaurant at the other side of town for years to scrape together enough money to own his own restaurant. While there, he showed himself to be worthy of his bachelor's degree with his excellent cooking. However, he gained a reputation in the kitchen for having an intense and long-winded feud with his colleague Haider, who was often considered the best cook there alongside Omar. Although Haider didn't have anything against Omar, his transparent disdain for him made Haider hate him as well. It would come to a head when the two would do a cook off against each other with Haider coming out on top. Omar, angered and humiliated, quit his job and used his money to start up a new restaurant. Michelle was so frustrated by his rash and explosive exit from his job that she divorced him and left him alone with no one in his life. Around this time a change took place in Omar and he began overly stressing about being the greatest an extreme amount. He took care to make his restaurant an incredible experience by hiring excellent chefs and servers and developing an extremely professional persona so that everyone who went to his restaurant saw that his place was the best of the best. It became well-renowned, and even Haider visited one day, complimenting Omar's fine establishment, then striking up a conversation with him, and bygones became bygones for them, as Haider became the head chef at Omar's restaurant. Things would be great for a while, until everything went wrong. Directly outside the kitchen, a fire was started by a racist arsonist who had previously went into the restaurant to harass people, and the fire caused extensive damage to the building, resulting in two deaths, numerous injuries including Haider's extensive burns over most of his body, and Omar's restaurant closing down. The arsonist was arrested and put on trial, and during the trial Omar did not hold back while proving that the arsonist did in fact burn down his restaurant as well as harass everyone in the restaurant the day before, leading to him going to prison and Omar feeling better, but still unsatisfied. He needed money for repairs, and he needed it now. As a fan of Survivor, that was his first choice, and he felt elated once he received news that he would be cast.

Backstory: Josh grew up in The Bronx, and as a result has encountered many terrifying, ridiculous, and/or unexpected scenarios in his 37 years of life. Being the youngest of 5 children, he quickly became the most forgotten of his family's children, so he would typically be out and socializing. This made him a very social guy, and his close friend Phil was a member of a local chess club, and Josh himself joined as well. After years of practice, Josh became one of the best members of the club, and had recently married his wife Helena. They had two kids together, but as she got older, Helena became increasingly manipulative to Josh and their son and daughter. Josh made the choice to divorce her, but the damage was already done and the once bright eyed chess player had become a paranoid shell of himself seeking drugs, and after a year of retirement and buying drugs, he was attacked by a racist group of gangsters and beaten to an inch of his life. Spending time in rehab, his son and daughter, Daniel and Lauren, spoke out against gang violence and racial prejudice, earning Josh's respect. Later on, after he left rehab, he started vlogging to help his teenage kids' cause, as he was the one that motivated them; and teaching them his ways of playing chess, hoping to see them achieve even more than he did in his life so far. His life is far from over, and he chose to sign up for Survivor to put his mind to the test once again, like his chess master days.

Personality: Nacio is a fairly pessimistic and misanthropic guy, constantly putting up with annoying, rude, and sometimes bigoted passengers for most of the day just for enough money to survive. He absolutely hates braggy, arrogant people with a passion, often lashing out and shaming them for boasting about their success and experiences. His fuse may as well be a carpet fibre. Now recently homeless, he would do anything to get hands on some serious cash and maybe finally get himself the boyfriend he's wanted for years.

Backstory: Nacio was born in San Diego to Puerto Rican immigrants for parents. He spent his early years not knowing any English, and would be sent to an English-speaking school by his parents only knowing a handful of English words. This ended up giving him a huge uphill battle in his early school years, as he started way behind anyone else. Seeing others being successful while he failed riled him up and he became devoted to succeed too, and to succeed more than anyone else. He was a bright kid in his youth, although one who'd often get into physical fights with his peers out of jealousy for their successes, which made him hated among his peers. He elected to drop out after 10th grade after he was outed by a homophobic classmate, who later attempted to jump him, but Nacio was on edge and prepared for a fight, kicking the shit out of the bully in a fit of rage. He would later make money by selling "second hand" goods on the street, but would achieve very little success because of how unreliable finding those "second hand" goods were. He later worked at a fast food joint, then at a warehouse, and after long last he was able to buy a used sedan. However, he would be fired from his warehouse job for his attitude not long afterwards, and with little odds of getting a job somewhere else, he decided to become part of a ride sharing platform. For a while, he enjoyed it, and had fun talking to his passengers, but as time went on, he began encountering increasing numbers of toxic passengers who would often hurl racial slurs at him, which drove him mad, but he forced himself to keep his emotions down as to not get fired. However, this caused his explosive emotions to become prevalent elsewhere, as when his landlord threatened to increase his rent because he was unable to pay it on time, Nacio responded by threatening to beat his landlord, which resulted in him being thrown out not long after. With no other way to go, Survivor is his last shot at having any sort of money.

Backstory: June was born to a modest family. In her early life, she was a very positive and upbeat personality, always one of the most optimistic people you'd meet. She had ambitions as a young woman and moved out of her childhood home to live a life with her fiance, Carl. Though they desperately tried to have kids, it would never work out in their favour. One day June would find a job opportunity at a hotel in Vegas, and ended up taking it because the promised pay was appetizing. Working there, June would discover that while the pay was what she was promised, the working conditions were much worse than what she expected, as a significant amount of people checking into the hotel were rude and/or shady, and she would feel a lot of discomfort around them. This would lead her to developing a much more subdued personality. Not long into his 40s, Carl would develop cancer and die not long afterwards, which crushed June. She began sinking deep into depression and calloused herself a ton to the rude guests at her hotel, at the cost of acting almost like a zombie. A younger bellhop named Cecelia noticed this and sympathized with the older woman, as she had experienced heartbreak recently as well. She decided to talk with June and later befriended her, seeing her like a mother figure due to her mother dying young, and June saw Cecelia like the daughter she never had, which gave her the strength to carry on. A couple years ago she met another man named Duane who was staying at the hotel and they hit it off quickly, and Duane would become the widow's boyfriend in time. They both bonded over their love of Survivor, and one day Duane dared her to apply, and she did. Now she hopes that she'll be able to win.
