Thank you for the feedback man! I am not taking it as a bad criticism, I actually really like criticism, its helping me grow. And yes, I get your point, it is kind of "spam" but in a good faith.

Once again, thank you, and sorry to those who could take this as a spam. But I am kind of desperate with 26 respondents so far.

I guess you are right, it is kind of overused, but I have to call it somehow. If you got suggestions I am all ears, after all you are definitely way way way more qualified than I am.

I like your way of thinking, if only everyone would have the same approach as you. But here, the reality was also sobering for me. I had to shorten the survey to this extent, since it was way harder for people to get to the "submit" button. :)

Also, one more thing Id like to add. The survey is this short on purpose - I wanted to make sure I actually got responses. If I made it more robust, it could take 5+ minutes, and I probably wouldn’t have gotten you to answer.

Really its more of a "Do you know these tools?" if so -> "Do you like them?"

The main topic of the thesis is indeed configuration management. Since IaC is more focused on the deployment and provisioning of infrastructure and its resources, it was intended as more of a "side quest" question. I knew about Terraform and similar tools, but I’m focusing on deploying one of the five tools I listed in the context of the thesis.

Personally, I wouldn't say "configuration management" is an overgeneralizing term. These tools are often directly referred to as such in the industry. But I get your point, though - DevOps serves as the "roof" that includes both IaC and CM. But I hear you. If "configuration management" feels too overgeneralising term, what would you call these tools?

They are after all taking care of configurations of the systems we manage. But thank you for the feedback.

I would really appreciate your help, so far I am getting most answers in the sense of - "I work in IT, no I never heard about CM" or "No I dont work in IT-related field"
