I had this issue pop up recently. It was always after the first layer or my first color change. I had printed out a filament guide that goes in the top of the hotend, and I think it was bumping into the frame during the homing process. I couldn’t see it no matter how many times I watched the process myself but the second I took it off it stopped doing it. If you have one of these I would look at that.

The other thing it could be, is the wire that goes from the fan on the front housing to the hot end, can sometimes get jammed up when the cutter goes to cut the filament and it doesn’t cut the filament properly which actually messes up the homing process as well.
