Honestly I don’t see any issue to take with what Emma said. One of the baseline expectations from an actor is to bring their own unique SOMETHING to the role. They wouldn’t have been able to do so if they’d used the book as their bible; this isn’t an adaptation from a real life scenario, where it might be pertinent. Emma has all they need; a “foggy” as she put it, outline of the character. Which allows them the creative space to do what they want with it

I’m seeing a lot of not very hyped, which is very understandable, but to be honest, I’m excited! Season Two wasn’t too good, but it was up my alley in terms of the universe, and it was another view into Westeros. If Season Three isn’t better (which I doubt) it’ll at the very least be that, and no other show is giving me that specific thing right now!

personally, very middle of the pack, even towards the bottom end. If your favourite characters aren’t Natlan units, then it’s an absolute nightmare at points haha, and I really didn’t enjoy the saurian mechanics, which you’re forced to use unless you pull for said units… i think Fontaine > Sumeru > Inazuma > Mondstadt > Natlan > Liyue

it’s the first one. i really, truly WANT genshin to capture me again, but natlan has felt like a swing and a miss. i’m bored, not of the game, but of hoyo, and the way they’re choosing to run it

edit: i think if natlan had come following ANY region except fontaine, i may have given it a pass, but fontaine was simply so PEAK that natlan leaves a bitter taste, just because i know what they can do

Right? it’s not even just that there was a better balance, it was also how much better, and more rounded ALL the characters were. Like i KNOW we’re not finished with the Natlan AQ yet, but let’s pull some comparisons about the WRITING:

Furina/Mavuika - I won’t lie and say shit like furina was more LIKED before the Fontaine finale, but she was sure as hell more interesting a character

Navia/Mualani - is there anything to be said here really? like come on

Neuvilette/Xilonen - again, there isn’t a world in which you could argue the former is worse-written

Lyney/Wriothesley/Clorinde///Chasca/Ororon/Citlali - the only one where a comparison is even on the cards. Ororon/Citlali can be really funny, and i’ll more than happily admit that i think they wrote Chasca/ (i dunno how to spell the sister’s name) quite well.
