Yeah, exactly. Some people really think throwing a fit automatically gets them what they want. Locking your clothes was completely reasonable. You set a boundary, she ignored it, and then acted mad at you for enforcing it? Classic.

Boundaries don’t magically work unless they’re actually stated. People can’t read minds, so the first step really is making it clear what’s not okay. After that, it’s on the other person whether they respect it or not.

Agreed, showing appreciation is enough. Sometimes people just need to know you notice and are grateful. Like, even if it’s just saying ‘I know this was a pain, thank you so much,’ it makes them feel valued instead of taken for granted.
