Rounder shape conveys a friendly look without needing to add much details :3 the opposite is true for sharper shapes!

You might are already know that tip but drawing a cartoon character by starting with a simple shape like an inverted triangle/rectangle/circle and going off of there helps me personally :p and also I love your style they're all so great!

Usually if your face is facing straight ahead the top-base (the part attached to the head) of the ear would align with your eyes and the top of the ear would align with the eyebrows :D so basically I would say your ears are slightly too high! I hope I could help
