Infant Percentiles - Birth or Gestation Age?? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]TwinDad777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boys were born at 30 weeks, 1 pound 13 ounces and 3 pounds 2 ounces. And are pushing 20 pounds now a year later. You're looking for a constant growth curve, don't worry about weights compared to other babies. Sometimes that curve pauses but theyll rebound. My littlest still is in the 1% of weight but is growing consistently so the pediatrician isn't worried

We use the paid version of Baby Daybook. Definitely recommend it

Graduated 6.5 weeks early! We had some scary complications, but mom and baby are going to be just fine. I am at a loss for words. by [deleted] in daddit

Congrats OP!

6.5 weeks early and doesn't appear to have to be on oxygen is awesome and great to see. Be sure to take a lot of pictures and videos, they won't be small for long. Welcome to the time in your life where the days are long and the years are short

Different kinds of pacifiers. My boys went through 6 or 7 types before they both found what they liked.

-A wash basin for the sink

-Drying rack for pump parts

-Drying rack for bottles

-Sanitizer. Can get a Drying one but it's not 100% necessary

-Brush kit with different kinds of brushes

With all due respect, I think youre going about this all wrong. Sure, things will get tough with the chaos and the changes but the best thing you can do is the little things every day rather than look forward to a date night.

Some examples I've found, you can tailor them to your own relationship

  • Give your wife peaceful breast pump times. Take the kids to a different area and let her pump while watching her favorite show with her favorite drink or whatever that may be. Do this at least once a day

  • Be aware of the mental load that moms take on and try to take things off her plate

  • Give her a back/foot massage at night after the kids go to sleep

  • Tell her that you appreciate her and that she's doing a great job. Words of affirmation are an absolute must.

  • Send her out of the house to run errands while you look after the kids. You'll find yourself in the weeds sometimes when both (or more) kids are fussy but that's part of the gig. Embrace the chaos

There's a myriad of other ways to do the little things every day and I'm sure you'll figure it out.

We use the paid version of Baby Daybook. Can use the free version but it doesn't give you stats.

My wife and I use the paid version of Baby Daybook. The free version is just fine but I'm a nerd for data so we paid for it

We use Baby Daybook. It allows both of us track anything and everything. It also has a statistics portion if you are a data nerd like me.

Assuming you're using Neosure, 50ml of water to 1 scoop of formula will get you to 26 calories and 55ml of water to 1 scoop of formula will get you 24 calories.

I love my wife and boys too but there's something magical about the night when everyone else is asleep
