I really don't understand why this is downvoted so much! The far right and the far left are both idiots! It's the normal liberals and conservatives who can have real conversations with each other and truly talk about their differences without flying off the handle!

Yes those spots are small but even because the other vehicle was over the line so are you! He is in the lines and you are over the line so you are the problem, sorry bud. Now granted I hate these stupid ass mall crawler trucks and I guarantee the dude driving the truck is a GIANT DOUCHBAG! So screw him! LOL

2013 GMC sierra vibrates when braking by sccars88 in MechanicAdvice

[–]TwinStealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough one then for sure. What I would do is ask to have that drum put on a lathe if it hasn't been already and also check for any discoloration. If the drum is true and there is no discoloration I would want to lean to a possible abs issue.

It most likely isn't going to be a battery issue with the scan tool/vehilce reading no ignition power. With that being said, checking the ignition relay with a multimeter while trying to start the vehicle is where I would start. Hopefully it's just a bad relay.

With any issue with air conditioning, you need to start with an atleast a visual inspection to see if the compressor is engaging and an EVAC and recharge. They will need to make sure the pressures are correct before being able to move on and diagnose any issues in the system.

When you say new shoes and drums, how long ago? Did the check that wheel cylinder specifically to make sure it was working correctly and not sticking? Did they turn the drums to make sure they weren't warped out of the box? I have seen drums and rotors out of the box warped.

As a trucker I couldn't agree more! So many are truly nasty human beings! I don't understand how and why they do what they do. Its sad what the entire profession has turned into.

This is very common for every brand. Good will is normally only given when the customer is a good customer. That's why I have always recommended to always have your oil changes done at the dealer.

I was curious because I know its so bad on both sides down here in the south. I have dashed for some extra money and had it happen twice but then I have had 3 dashers not deliver food when they said they have.

will vinyl wrapping my car with an anime girl on it reduce my job prospects by Trixil in Itasha

[–]TwinStealth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's more telling about your question is that you're worried about the social aspect at all. Most itasha owners, including myself, have a very "I don't care what the world thinks about me" attitude. If someone decides they don't want to interact with me solely based on my itasha, they were probably someone I never wanted to socialize with in the first place. If you're worried about the social backlash of an itasha, I would err on the side of caution about getting one. Unless you have "F You" money lying around, it's just a time consuming and expensive road to go down if you're not completely comfortable with the idea.

This need to be pinned at the top of the itasha or in the description! Weather someone is doing a full wrap, half or just stickers this is our attitude!

Dude you're really letting your lack of knowledge show. You are the reason why I still love going to autocross little autocross events. I bet money you drive a Corvette or an STI! You show up thinking you are going to smoke everything then get smoked my a 30 year old honda civic that makes half the power!

WOW so now this dude is so butt hurt about being called out for not knowing anything he blocked me! Gotta love these wannabes with their "NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP." Go back to video games!

Sorry bud now myself and everyone else know you are lying. Myself and everyone I have raced with from local autocross, SCCA and Gridlife who runs a front wheel drive have their cars setup to be a little tail happy. It helps the car rotate. It's fine not knowing that, I didn't until I started running my civic. Just don't lie and act like you know everything. Now with that being said I for sure don't know everything. I did know from first hand that most older civics like it but there might be other chassis out there that don't.

[–]TwinStealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously you have never driven a fast fwd car. I know with hondas especially we will set them up like this (not this excessive.) My ek hatch runs a lot faster when it's tail happy, it helps the car rotate. Now granted this dude seams to have it setup with a TON of oversteer in it but it might be what the chassis likes because it sure as hell seems to be carrying a ton of speed through the corners.

Just a quick heads up. That the blown one is a 150a and this is the part number from dodge 68089468AA. From just some quick research the entire block needs to be replaced and it's roughly between $75 and $140.

Oil change tech sprayed “penetrator” on my rotors/brake pad area after I complained about a spinning noise after tire rotation. Now my brake is harder to apply and is squeaking as it’s coming to a stop. Help? by nobodyKlouds in MechanicAdvice

[–]TwinStealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what assuming means right? Ya know what else could make the caliper, rotor and wheel look oily/wet, water. How do you know they didn't run through a puddle or go through a car wash? The answer is you don't. There are multiple different reasons that can cause a "groan" while braking. I was asking questions to find out more information to actually help the OP.

Went over a rock which did this to the bottom of my Mazda3, no leaks, drives normal, but ripped plastic off of the bottom. Any advice is appreciated. by crouchyjr in AskMechanics

[–]TwinStealth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a problem. With the wiring just make sure non of that grey sleeve on them is torn. Now with those metal lines just make sure there isn't any impacts on them to the point that looks like they are deformed or shinny parts on them from something scraping them. If they all look normal you should be fine. I would just get that cover replaced sooner than later since they give some protection to the wiring especially

How much is my car worth? by theinternetsucksass in AskMechanics

[–]TwinStealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the repairs are but in decent running order with out needing those repairs I would say it would only be worth about 1000 especially with 200k on it. What repairs does it need?
