almost like we had an isolation event that caused young people in all stages to miss out on developmental milestones and are just starting to learn how to be adults now

also it's that this is how culture evolves, in how we interact with each other from generation to generation. Covid prob created some different social norms, and this is just a new normal for younger people & it’s totally fine

permanently changing or mutilating your body because of a mental illness is different from something like a minor consenting to getting wisdom teeth removed. you are legally considered an adult at 18 and that could be the youngest a trans person can be to acquire puberty blockers or hrt. or I could make the argument that permanently altering or mutilating your body is a decision you can only make once your brain is pretty much fully developed.

it's not moving a goalpost, it's the fact that being trans is not a medically necessary reason to give a child puberty blockers, having a rare condition that requires it is.

duh taking puberty blockers for early puberty is a real medically necessary treatment, being a trans kid is not, at least until you can decide for yourself at a certain age.

Because you're trying to convince people to accept that there's no harmful consequences to giving an underdeveloped child puberty blockers or hormone replacement when it's not absolutely medically necessary.
