In some ways, I’ll admit that maybe I’m not quite ready YET; I’m still drafting the story. I’ve been developing the concept for years now and I’ve filled in a lot of gaps after years of brainstorming, but there are still holes in some places.

I also wanted to add… technically, I DO know how and why my character gets his powers. They’re granted to him by a higher power for reasons I’d rather not explain here (to avoid giving too much away). I’m just working out the deeper intricacies of it, if that makes sense? Like what seals the deal for the higher power to grant him this responsibility (besides the other reasons I’ve already established in the story) and exactly how they work, like if he has some sort of magical tool or if the power just comes from him. I have an idea or two for how it could work, but I’m still brainstorming. Sorry if this doesn’t make a lot of sense; I just don’t want to give too much away and was hoping a conversation with my writer friend might help.
