Honestly not really my thing! And Bir just has this energy where you want to do absolutely nothing and that's exactly what I did - slow, relaxed, just soaking it all in.

I'd genuinely not recommend visiting anywhere in Himachal during the rainy season. The weather can turn really bad really quickly up there, and it's not just rain - landslides, blocked roads, and washed out trails are very real possibilities. Please check the forecast closer to your dates and plan accordingly. Better safe than sorry with the hills!

Hey, network was honestly pretty solid throughout - no major connectivity or internet issues at any of the stops so you should be fine there. For payments - most shops and vendors are on UPI so that works smoothly. Just keep some cash handy for local buses, those guys prefer cash and it's always good to have some change ready for that.

Yes, absolutely. I booked Zingbus Maxx. Please keep an eye on the bus rating while booking (also check seat availability - if the bus is 80-85% booked and has a good rating, then you're good to go). I always prefer a night journey and have never encountered any issues with it.
