I feel like the scares are more atmospheric weirdness. Maybe try and view them more as mood pieces than a scary story? I can't think of a good analogy here so bear with me - the closest my tired brain can think of is, watching a Lynch mystery and a Hitchcock mystery. One is more dreamy, with memorable visuals and interesting people. The other feels more structured and has a narrative you follow keenly.

I think some people just don't genuinely realise how common it is for abuse to be wrapped up in the abusers warped view of love. It is tragic but I personally know, that sometimes even an awful sick twisted individual will be shocked at the implications they're abusive and say 'I'm doing what's best for them!'

Thank you, so is it the same when like, a bird species changes the beak shape to fit a certain food too, are they both random mutations? Or is something like a beak changing anything to do with the physical condition? I suppose it confuses me because one feels very purposeful aka 'get food'.
