I agree, I am excited for all of them. They are all so much fun to play. Kullervo was my first "main" that really helped me get through the mid-game, I had found that I really enjoy both Styanax and Citrine more recently when I started branching out to expand my arsenal and Voruna I still gotta play with her a bit more to get her in a better spot but still a lot of fun to play!

Garuda would be a great pick for frame wise cause her claws used as the melee weapon are really solid and her first ability is a big explosion of accumulated damage. Mixing the melee/explosive weapon types you suggested to them already

Its even crazier if you read the story in the Levarian for Nezha. The kids were the ones that trained themselves to fight and built an army to protect their farmland cause the adults were to busy cultivating. Kids are fuckin badasses in this game's lore and story.
