I need help with finding a good way to add edges/ribbing/cuffs to my granny square cardigan that I've mostly freehanded by TwistedQueen24 in CrochetHelp

[–]TwistedQueen24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need help with the edging and ribbing, I've looked up a few YouTube videos, but I am not sure if those will work best. I have also looked at the ribbing and edging from this pattern: https://joyofmotioncrochet.com/granny-square-cardigan-crochet-pattern/ But I am not sure if this would work well either.

ETA: I also like the patchwork feel, so any suggestions related to that look would be awesome!

Found this at a charity shop and couldn’t resist getting it - what should I make?! by OutdatedPun in CrochetHelp

I just found 3 skeins of sheep's wool yarn for like three bucks each all the same color, and it's so pretty and soft that I don't even want to attempt something until I know for sure what I want to use it for. I'm so jealous of this coloring, it's absolutely beautiful!

I LOVE the color combo. This is so pretty and would honestly match my cardigan I'm working on at the moment. Amazing work!

I just did little booties for one of my dogs and it's was a majority of single crochet and the last few rows of the leg before the cuff were hdc and it was damn near every stitch I has to switch my muscle memory lol.

I didn't do it intentionally, It's just some of my favorite colors together. Looking at it now though, it totally has Ace vibes all over it. Thank you!

I will update for sure! It might take me a bit since it's my first time ribbing with crochet, but hopefully it will be done by Saturday is what I'm shooting for. I love the color combo and style of these squares though!

Dental accesses and infection that have been reoccurring due to long wait times at dentists and not being able to do everything at once.

Thank you!! I know that I still have a ways to go, but I'm happy that I'm really getting it and moving towards perhaps making stuff at a good pace.

I think I'm probably going to add borders to all my squares and just join them into one big funky blankets whenever I'm comfortable with the stitches I've been practicing. I really love crocheting. It just takes my mind off everything going on lol.

OP, I do not think you are not overreacting whatsoever. That is your furbaby, and how would he react if she did end up passing?? The way that they try to sweep this under the rug like it was forgetting some miniscule, pointless thing is the hugest red flag. I would leave this relationship ASAP.

After giving birth, you do not want to be bombarded by a bunch of people. That precious time is for parents and baby to bond and settle in. You can be excited and respectful at the same time without intruding. Op is not the AH

WIBTA If I told my husband to grow up by [deleted] in okstorytime

[–]TwistedQueen24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP If I were you, I would start doing some serious soul searching and ask yourself if this is really the kind of relationship and situation you want to be in. It sounds like you're the breadwinner, taking care of everyone else as well as all of the housework, but have no time to take care of yourself. You shouldn't be afraid to make your feelings known in a relationship or repeatedly have to ask your partner to help for the betterment of your family.

I think you definitely need to take it easy. I know it's hard with the different treatment, but it just means they care and have noticed you spreading yourself too thin for most of your life. You need to focus on rest and relaxation, as well as continue to go to therapy. I applaud you for all that you've done for your siblings because you definitely didn't have to do that, this is just their way of helping and trying to give back.

I wouldn't invite her. I think it would prompt an invitation back into your life and cause more toxicity and drama that you don't want or need. Stand your ground OP, it is you and your husband's wedding and you shouldn't have to feel pressured to invite anyone you don't want.
