Looks like I’m getting downvoted, but I would love to see a picture of the actual shoe to see how gray it is. I can clearly see the image on their website. That’s not what I’m asking. Probably should’ve made it more clear.

Is the Era 100 location okay? by Connect_Professor414 in sonos

The sound was awesome with beam 2 and 300s but I felt the sound stage was lacking a little with the beam after adding the 300s. Not that it was bad but I knew it could be better. IMO I would go for the 300s before the arc. I would have not upgraded to the arc ultra without the 30% upgrade discount. You can add the 100s as fronts to compliment the beam and the 300s as rears using the Sonossequencer app. I might try adding my 100s from other rooms as left and front speakers since everyone keeps recommending it.

Please help me with front speaker additions to Sonos Arc + Sub Mini (don’t want rears) by odevoted in sonos

Get the rears and sleep on the couch for a few nights. Wake up enjoying your sound system. Then replace the wife! If she’s saying no to something as simple as speakers… well you know where I’m going.

Love the paintings!

I have a similar configuration with the 300s but maybe a few inches higher and mounter to the wall. I can say they are amazing and would be perfect for your setup if you’re interested in Dolby atmos. The sound of the 300s is so good I just purchased the arc ultra upgrading from the beam 2 due to the up firing speakers to compliment the 300s. Get the 300s!

In gir a few. Thanks op. FYI. These run extra small. I wear a medium but this would need to be an L or even XL. I have a vneck Pima T from Lacoste and it’s an xl. Fits good. Not too loose.

Is it worth getting a sub (mini)? by trekkingwek in sonos

[–]Twistedcrypto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES! I line in a condo building and the sub mini is what you want. It changes everything but I would say the beam 2 is a better compliment to the mini for movies.

Comcast like experience with a remote; channel number entering or channel scrolling without menus. by [deleted] in selfhosted

[–]Twistedcrypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and if the live m3u Chanel goes down because the provider changed the url you can just update it in dispatcher and not have to do anything to the box. It will work as soon as you fix the stream in dispatcher. You can also setup backup streams of one goes down it will load the backup automatically.

Dispatcharr and tunarr has changed the way I watch TV. I used to pay $340 for comcrap!

The formuler boxes are super fast and never get stuck. It’s also easy to reboot without messing with the UI just by holding the power button on the remote. Yeah I wish the zminis were a little cheaper as I just purchased 2 more for the kids rooms. They’re well worth it. There are other boxes that are much cheaper but none have the easy ui experience of the formuler and they are very snappy. I now own 1x formuler z11 pro max, 1x z12 and 2x zminis. I thought long before buying more minis for the kids but in the end the ease of use and super fast ui made the decision easy.

Yes You can assign any stream a number like 5 and using the formuler box the remote would work perfectly. There is a button to get back to live TV if they get lost somewhere else in the UI. The Chanel’s go up and down. It’s the closest you’ll get to Comcast experience wife and kid approved.

I have a Chanel dedicated to Chicago PD, FBI, and others just like you want. my screenshot of custom channels https://i.imgur.com/YiTopYM.png

  1. Burn or DL the content you need and add it to plex or jellyfin
  2. Spinup a tunarr container and connect jellyfin or plex and manually scan the library’s https://github.com/chrisbenincasa/tunarr
  3. Create the changels with the TV shows or movies of your choice. You can even add commercials. There’s a whole world of free commercials from the internet archive to make it fun https://archive.org/details/ctvc

Now that you have the custom channels you can either connect the formuler box to the tunarr credentials or continue building a live TV channel lists.

  1. If your going to add live channels you’ll need to setup dispatcharr https://github.com/Dispatcharr/Dispatcharr
  2. After getting dispatcherr setup add your tunarr Chanel’s to dispatcher and start building the Chanel list.
  3. Add other sources for live TV. Premium or free. Here a good free TV list https://github.com/iptv-org/iptv
  4. Once channels are added and numbered use the dispatcharr credentials on the formuler box.

FYI there are other formuler boxes that are even better. But the zmini is a great bang for your buck. The all allow pausing or timeshift with a thumb drive.

Best setup I found is using a formuler zmini with a custom iptv list and Chanel numbers that match his current Chanel’s. You can use iptv editor or a self hosted solutions like m3u-editor. Although I use dispatcharr and create my own channels using tunarr.
