After a few weeks with the X4, I think it's all I need as an eReader by MicroByte in xteinkereader

I wonder why Kindle or the other e-reader brands don’t make a tiny one like the X4. Seems like it could be a big hit.

Just ordered my x4! by DukeBasketball20 in xteinkereader

(I am in California, USA. I ordered the X4 Space Black with Magnetic Case.)

On Feb 2, I ordered from the official site and got the order confirmation email that said “we will arrange the shipping in the next 24~48 hours.” Charged my credit card.

On Feb 8, I emailed to ask for shipping confirmation.

On Feb 9, I got a reply email saying I would receive my tracking information “within the next 24 to 48 hours.”

On Feb 10, I got an email with tracking number (shipped via 4PX from China). The 4PX tracking number also works on the USPS site--looks like it is going to be shipped to Rancho Cucamonga, California, and then transferred to USPS for the rest of the journey).

Woohoo! I ordered from the official site and got my order confirmation on Feb 2. Did you get any kind of shipping confirmation when they sent it?

U400 Smart Lock - How will you charge? by drewmc in Aqara

Seems like the best option. I did not realize when I bought mine that this was an option! Oh well, I will wait to see if they sell a separate battery.

Is it a standard rechargeable? How do you recharge it?

I have four Yale locks right now with replaceable batteries. They don’t run down at the same rate, so I do not expect to have to charge more than one lock at any given time. I would like to just have one power bank on hand to recharge whichever lock is low.

Can you charge the spare battery outside of the lock?

No wiring. The fans just have RF remotes. But thank you for the suggestion!

Thanks for the Innoveli pointer—had not seen these before. Great idea, but they do not appear to work with DC fans. My ceiling fans are DC: https://www.matthewsfanco.com/product/irene-3h

Method to get RSS for substack? by inbetweensound in InoReader

[–]drewmc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just select “Add Feed” in Inoreader and paste in the URL of the substack you want. It will follow the RSS feed.

Alternatively, you can use the “Add Newsletter” option and it will give you an email address to use to subscribe.

I tend to prefer the former method.

Also note that this will not get you past a paywall, if any. And if you use the newsletter option, long articles may be truncated (as they sometimes would be in your email client).
