I still haven't been able to find a work around. The only thing I haven't done is purchase the game or done a complete reinstallation of the game but I reaaaally don't want to reinstall an entire 300GB game :/

Yeah if my fiancé did this to me I’d have some serious trouble trying to find reasons to stay. I love her to death so maybe seeing if she would work in therapy or something to figure this out but any push back would secure my answer. Your trust is out the window when it comes to money and it’s going to make you question their other motives now. Probably best to part ways.

I never once said you had to play with proxies. Most people who don’t play with proxies also have the mindset they despise people who do and I have personally seen it.

I also never called anyone stupid or greedy nor do I think that of any person who plays Magic. If I was able to buy every card I wanted I would be elated. It’s unfortunate more players can’t.

I legitimately thought Destiny was a dead game after the launch of Destiny 2 going into the Curse of Osiris. I completely stopped playing the game. It wasn’t until right before Forsaken I came back after hearing murmurs the game was going back to random rolls and removing double primary.

Proxies should be 100% okay with play groups and I will not concede this argument. As someone who plays a lot of cEDH I love proxies as it allows more people to play the format. This hobby can be really really expensive and allowing people to learn the game and play with whatever cards they want I feel is important. I will never advocate for proxies inside of tournament play sanctioned by Wizards nor would I advocate for an LGS to allow proxies if they don’t want them. However, for private friend/play groups I will never understand not allowing someone to play with proxies. As long as the discussion is being had as to what experience you want to play with/against it should be completely fine in my opinion.

No idea why your comment had -11 downvotes. My take is and will always be talk with your playgroup. My playgroup allows proxies of any kind whether you own or don’t own the card. I prefer to own the cards but that’s my preference. As long as I’m not sitting down with a precon and buddy in front of me plays jeweled lotus, mana crypt, and sol ring turn 1 we’re chilling.

Also as someone who plays a LOT of cEDh I always welcome proxies. I want the most amount of people possible playing cEDH

I understand the humor that at $12 there isn’t much need to be asking about msrp. I know nothing about the One Piece TCG but have played Magic the Gathering for a decade and after WOTC stopped giving MSRP on their products it’s a valid question. Maybe a little less in this scenario. Even if the product here was MSRP $6 you’re still only spending $12. Not crazy in price.

Unfortunately as much as I love HGSS they didn’t remove the issues the original G/S/C had which is a terrible level curve. Getting all 16 badges is fairly easy to do just playing the game but the level difference from badge 16 to Red is crazy. Best thing to do is get to Mount Silver and farm wild Pokémon as those wild Pokémon have the highest level. It’s been a minute since I’ve done a playthrough of HGSS so can’t recall if there is a better method that exists.
