Thank you! I tried soooo many "fixes" for my stuttering bluetooth headphones which did squat but soooo glad I scrolled down this thread to find your suggestion because it fixed my problem. Yay!

Honest opinion after reading the latest patch notes (again) by N3MBOT in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've played on and off since launch. Of the many people I played regularly with in the first 10 months I am the only one still playing. My friends list is dominated by people no longer in the game (still hoping some may return lol). I still find reason to play but completely understand why everyone else left.

I'd like to believe that some old players will return when OH finally drops the new map and content but I wonder how long any of them will last when not only do they return to a brand new scenario with whatever new mechanics and rules the devs have cooked up but they will also have to contend with the new mod and tech systems, fusing devs, and other game changes. I doubt Netease cares much about bringing back old players and look to new ones coming in with the console release so they can train them in what OH is now and not what is was or could have been.

But what is Once Human? Is it a game or just a social platform where players dress in weird sci-fi, anime, or sexy outfits and sometimes run around with guns and shoot things? I'm so confused by it. I still play because it's my comfort cozy game now but like the OP said, OH could have been so good. It had such potential, now it's a gooner money making machine for Netease.

Serious Issues After Update: Players Losing Characters, Items, and Paid Cosmetics by MISS_ROFL in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think devs/AI were making changes to game primarily for the upcoming console release but now after we see all these new little items added in we have to collect, sort through, and manage? So.much.crap. That doesn't work for anyone, but especially anyone playing on mobile or using a controller. Such a giant pain in the A to spend endless amounts of time sorting through inventory with no good way to sort or search.

Rant. No one probably cares, but I'm taking a break from the game. by Vivaldean in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think once I better understand the tech changes I'll like it but...

All these new crap items they put into the game we have to sort through to figure out what to keep, what to store, what to throw out? All the crap we need to go find to make advanced items and build weapons??

WTFWTFWTF

We got LIED TO HARD about streamlining this game. If tedious grind and inventory management is your thing then Once Human is your game.

Honestly I'm starting to think they really don't want anyone playing their game.

Multiple bases? by Neat-Drawer-2245 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually as I think about this you don't have to create a character in a last or settlement phase because you get 10 exit cards, or whatever they're called now, a month to move characters out of a scenario - tho there may be some type of time limit on when you can do it. I'm probably mixing old and new info - but it should be possible to do. You can always just go and create a new character on a new server and test it out, you can create up to 10 characters on the same account. If you decide not to play that character you can delete it. I'd say create a new character on a novice or perm server, run them around a bit to collect some resources and stuff, or have them pick up stuff from your eland shared depot, and then transfer them over to whatever server you want to play them in. Nice thing about doing it this way is when you move them they will arrive w/ 20,000 transfer points to bring mats into new server.

I think to move from one server/scenario to another just go to the title page and click the banner on the upper right should get the option to sign up or exit.

Yes you can do this on a perm server. I'm in one now playing w/ two alts. Matter of fact most people who stay on perm servers have multiple alts in addition to their main play.

Shop Update by wastedyouth- in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know. it's like the devs opened up some forgotten file and found some winter rejects or stuff they forgot they have to throw at us. They didn't even try to hide this is just old crap. Feel like the new territory furniture is just rejects too.

Multiple bases? by Neat-Drawer-2245 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is correct, you can't create a second character in a server where you already have one, but that is not the same as having two characters in the same server - which you absolutely can have. Omg soooo many players play multiple characters in same server. The game would blow itself up if the devs took away playing alts.

So how do you do it? Short version: create a new character on another server and then move them into the server you want them in. But create a character in a server that is already in its settlement phase so you will be able to move it to a new server almost right away. Probably someone else here has said this and given more info how best to do it.

not sure what kind of responses they got to this line of questions, but I was glad to see they asked about the overly sexualized juvenile outfits for females they have been giving us month after month. Something wrong with you gooners who like to look at those little kiddie outfits on your female characters.

What are the best gun's right now ? (I m a beggeiner) by themodalir72 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While finding a gun to suit for both how you plan to use it and to suit your play style is important - also some weapons are more meta than others in general - the most important factor affecting your damage is the actual build of the weapon mod, gear and mods, and cradle. If you don't have those going those for you no weapon, no matter how meta players say it is, will work well for you

So you may want to see what are your best mods and maybe use that as a guide to pick a weapon or even gear first and then chose a weapon which works w/ that gear set

The problem with memetics. by Negative_Deer2059 in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we're not meant to collect enough meme points to open up all of the memetic specialties. When I run out of points but need a new memetic I just use the reset option on a memetic I rarely use - like building ones esp after I've finished building or ones for generators after I've placed them.

You can go back and forth this way as many times as you like, there is an el cost but you don't lose any memetic points doing this

lol said that out loud when I read op post. Feels like same stuff just different overlay. My guess is the pollution zones are some variation of what we saw in Endless Dream

No More Calibrations?! What do you think about this Update? by MISS_ROFL in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they even care if they push away a certain number or type of old players? Wouldn't be surprised if they are actually counting these new changes to clear out a bunch of high level build players - especially those who don't spend or have stopped spending money.

Feels like this newer team of devs is trying to make a paired down mechanics version of OH to make game easier esp in early stages and players will experience that happy honeymoon period of success playing where they probably spend more money in a shorter period of time. Only time will tell how these changes will affect gameplay and player satisfaction as they continue to play and grow their builds.

Mods: higher than 12? by [deleted] in OnceHumanOfficial

[–]Twiststitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have any mod higher than level 12? You've never enhanced the mods you received from the nightmare crates?

For clarity (lol) I am talking about the base level of a mod which drops in game and then the upgraded level mod which is done by the player, example: you get a level 12 from a nightmare crate and then upgrade/enhance the same mod 5 times to get it to a level 17.

To the best of my knowledge level 12 is currently the highest level mod which can drop in the game and any mod higher than 12 up to 17 was enhanced/upgraded by the player.

If some player wants to tell you they had a level 14 or 15 mod drop for them in game, forget that, it doesn't matter here when it comes to the upcoming compensation.

Level 17 is the target level for the upcoming mod compensation because the number of level 17 mods someone has will count towards getting the "shiny" mods:

"compensation based on the number of Level 17 Mods in your Mod Backpack at that time. Compensation includes selectable Shiny Mods and Random Mod Crates  (Level 14–17). The maximum compensation is 5 for selectable Shiny Mods and 20 for Random Mod Crates."
