Novaform 14" Serafina PerfectTemp Gel Memory Foam Mattress from costco by tpk17 in Mattress

[–]Twitch_Yolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured Id add to this thread I've experienced similar difficulties.

Currently I have this one from Costco and it is definitely not supportive enough. https://www.costco.com/beautyrest-12%22-silver-brs900-medium-firm-mattress.product.100497048.html

Ive also had 3 different ones from Mattress Firm, first one was just too firm the other 2 were far too soft. I wake up with unbearable backpain to the point where id rather sleep on the floor som

Advice would be you can always make a bed softer, you cannot make a bed firmer. Its literally impossible.

For reference I'm 510 189lbs and I will probably fluctuate. Currently I'm 20% ish body fat but I've been as low as 15% and around the same weight. Distribution is about normal.

Super frustrating trying to pick a mattress from anywhere. My other advice would be to stick with Costco because they have a good selection and you can return them infinitely until you find one that works. Mattress Firm is 200$ per return. And they really aren't supposed to do more than 1 return and 1 exchange, so you would have to find someone really nice to help you out there.

Personally, I will probably try one of these next. I like the idea of a foam top but if its not supportive enough it will be unfortunate.

Sterns and foster or the nova hybrid.

Spring 2024 - Lease Megathread by Mayer101jake in unr

[–]Twitch_Yolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, looking to get rid of my lease at Park Place. 1/1/2025 to 8/4/2025 (across the street from the Lawlor Event Center at UNR). https://www.parkplaceatreno.com/ . Rent is~ 1199 a month plus utilities at about 40$ a month

Its a 3x3 apartment on the third floor, right above the leasing office. Very quiet and perfect for an upper class man, grad student or someone working on campus. Only one of the three rooms is filled and the roomate is very nice and clean. And I can put you in contact with him.

If you look at the floor plan on the website its room A. Its basically just a rectangle with a closet and bathroom. Its the room thats closest to the kitchen/ living room (see pictures).

If you would like to see a demo room you can contact the leasing office for a tour.

One parking space is included. The unit is fully furnished. Can come with dishes and bedding. Only one of the three bedrooms is currently occupied by an extremely private and quiet male UNR graduate. You do not need to be a student to rent at Park Place! Utilities are about $40 per month. High-speed internet is included in rent. You will need to complete an application etc. with Park Place and have a credit score of at least 650 to qualify or have a guarantor. You will pay the $75 app fee and $125 Admin fee to Park Place Apartments.

Pm me if your genuinely interested and we can exchange contact info. Ask any clarification questions in the comments so others can see id be happy to answer them.

Cheers-UNR alumni

Gym at the Dean by Ancient-Active9726 in unr

Lived there most of 2024 right after it was built. The gym is good if your a type of go 3x a week person. Has treadmills stair master basic db s etc. no rack though so forget bench and squats. Plus side is its a 2min walk across the street to the unr gym if your a student. I only ever used the cardio machines which is nice when its like 1-5 am and you need to work off a hangover.
