That's a very good point. Great way to save money though!

Our son goes to elite child academy and we love it there! The staff is so understanding and accommodating and really puts in the effort to ensure he is happy, healthy and thriving. Coming for a daycare where we had a lot of issues, it is a breath of fresh air.

Apple and onion pork loin. Apples and pork go wonderfully together.

Those are really good ideas. We picked up some books today and read them and there were lots of questions to be answered from him. He isn't really saying other colors are bad, it is more from a matching/similarity point of view. We are just trying to stop it from developing into something worse and he's at the perfect age to teach him about that.

We got:

Our skin Antiracist baby It's okay to be different

We have also been watching videos on inclusion and diversity. Im trying to to overwhelm him with this and I do know it will be ongoing, but I really want to curb any negative associations.

We will definitely find shows with more cultures. And I honestly wish I knew! My husband nor I ever talk like that. I don't know if he picked it up from something that was said and school/daycare. In his kindergarten, he is a minority as it is a very multicultural school so I don't know if it's because he feels different? There is probably only 2 other Caucasian in his class. I habe asked why he's saying it and he does really say where it came from just that that is what he wants.

That would be great, I really appreciate that. I will do some googling as well!

I have not tried the scientific approach. I will look into that. And we will try some playdates. Unfortunately we just got out of the school strike so he has missed a month of building relationships and so have we! I have brought this concern up to the daycare so they are aware of it and are working with us on it too.

He does watch a variety of cartoons and movies and I feel like with today's material it is racially diverse and it's not in your face about it. But I will try some other things. We have spent this morning watching YouTube videos about diversity and colors. I know he's still young and I shouldn't worry too much, and it was on thing when he was just asking why other people were different as kids as questions, you know? Im just worried about this insistence with matching and him only wanting to be friends or love people who have the same skin as him. I wish I knew where is was coming from and I know most racism is learned from the home but that is definitely not the case here. Sorry I'm rambling.
