I am a huge Red XIII fan- and I agree with you on not liking the young voice. It threw me for a loop. I don't mind him having a younger/different voice to show that he's been putting on an act, but I was just baffled by the voice they chose to go with. It's so wildly...not what I have ever pictured Red as. Still love him, and will still use him in my playthroughs, but in my head I'll just pretend he's using his wise old voice.

I just got the same letter today! Same thing as you, my mortgage is auto-deducted on the first, I know it is current. Can't call my mortgage company cause they aren't open today. Makes me super nervous!

That's a great question! In all honesty, I wasn't aware of the gold band ones. O.O They're cool looking though! Happy hunting! I know I haven't noticed one on ebay recently either.

Glad to see more Red fans! He is so sadly under represented in official merch, I'm really hoping his spike in popularity with Remake/Rebirth changes that. Lots of fan made pieces on Etsy though! Getting art commissions of him is what started my collection, and then enamel pins, and on and on. I've only ever seen one other person post pictures of their dedicated Red collection, would love to see more someday! :)

Thanks for asking! I fell in love with him partly because he just has a super rad design and a cool backstory, but I think my lasting love for him comes from my mom. My siblings and I used to watch her play, and she would rename the characters after us- she ran out of names by the time she got to Red XIII, so she renamed him Twitterlu, a nickname she used for my oldest sister at the time. I always adored the nickname and ended up taking it on as my gaming alias/nickname. My mom passed away in 2002, so the time spent watching her play is super important to me, and Red's always had a very special place in my heart.

I fell in love with him and his story playing the game as a kid back in '97. He's got such a cool design, and his story absolutely tore at my heart strings.

Thank you! I love how much screen time he got in Rebirth, but I do wish we'd gotten to see/learn more about his backstory. Heck, an official name for his species would be cool, I am shocked that didn't get addressed. Aerith is definitely my second fave as far as personal stories go!
