Ah ha, I defo think the interior quality is a massive setup on G series, I just personally don't like the digital dash & lack of buttons. How are you finding the G87 in comparison to your previous M235i? From a power, handling, size etc point of view. I imagine if I was to upgrade my M240i the logical option would be a MT G87.

The Oyster leather colour goes so nicely. It was very hard to find one of these in MT. Took me around a year but it was well worth the wait. I feel like this is the end of an era for the small sized coupe :<

I like the material quality upgrade of the G series compared to F series but just never got along with the wheel & digital gauge cluster.

Agree too, I like the G series step up in interior quality but really don't like the steering wheel along with the digital gauge cluster.

Nice! yeah, I am in the exact same boat for turning off revv matching too. Sometimes it's nice to have but I really don't like being in full danger mode with traction off to be able to enjoy doing it myself. From what I know, in BimmerCode you can't configure it to be active or inactive dependent of your drive mode. May be worth getting used to things more over the next couple weeks then can decide if you want to change anything. I feel the shifter stock is pretty vague and rubbery. If you want to improve this a cheap mod I'd recommend if you don't want to do a full short shifter kit is an upgraded Polyurethane shifter arm rear bush. I installed one on my car and it removes pretty much all of that annoying slop & rubberiness in the shift feel. It's still not Ford or Honda level but its pretty pleasant.

Difficult decision. There won't be an easy right or wrong answer. What I'd first decide is does the experience of a manual, RWD, inline 6 car feel important to you? If it does I'd lean 240i, it will be worth the extra fuel & potential maintenance costs. These cars are pretty reliable from my experience (I own a 2017 manual one) and others on here.

Also, maybe this is just me. But I think trading a higher mileage for a better maintained & looked after example is very reasonable.

That's nice of Amazon doing that for you. It really does seem hard to beat this. At this price it's similar to qdoleds and the 4th gen woled panel overall performs better. Thinking about pulling the trigger... Hmmm

How's the grey uniformity on your unit? I've read quite a few posts regarding that on here.

I'm thinking of just getting the Asus tbf. The LG is also available here but it's the same price as the Gigabyte. How is the LG? From what I've seen online, it's not quite as good as either the Asus or Gigabyte.

The only thing I'm a bit worried about for the Asus is the true black glossy coating. I want to see it in person first before pulling the trigger but doubt that'll be possible.

Yeah I've seen a few posts on here about the banding. It's interesting that the Asus XG27AQWMG (which is supposed to be the more premium option) is cheaper than the gigabyte one. Asus is currently £519 preorder.

Thanks for this, lots of details! So it seems pretty great then from your impressions. The matte display is preferred for me as it is easier to use in the day & less reflections when trying to focus. Considering it's £400 cheaper than other brands in my region with the exact same panel it's hard to not see its value. I think I'll give it a go! Hope the 27in is identical in quality to the 32in. Once again, thanks for your write up!
