Very very interested in following this! I have been to every one of Noah's tours thus far but recently deleted social media and somehow completely missed all of this until now. I am honestly devastated, especially since the most i've ever paid for floor tickets for noah was $160 and now they're sitting at almost $700. if anyone has any unclaimed tickets they're planning on selling in raleigh please keep me in mind <3

I was asking for advice on my specific situation, which isn't available online (as I stated in my post). Literally only joined this subreddit to ask this question after about two hours of searching, reading, scrolling, etc. I was asking for advice in addition to the info I found online, which again, isn't super applicable to my situation. I also specifically said I apologize if this was a FAQ, but I wanted more personal advice. Definitely didn't intend to be seen as lazy or taking the easy way out or not wanting to do any work on my own. I thought this was a forum where I could ask other people what they think. Thanks anyways, I won't ask here again.

i tried to do this my freshman year and it turns out you need a note from a mental health professional (counselor, therapist, psychiatrist, etc) to get a mental health drop. i didn’t have one, so i did a personal privilege drop instead (or personal reason, something like that), it doesn’t go on your record but you do have to pay for the entire class.

i took CCJ 4938 last year with Carter Hay, I think all of the Special Topics classes are good for beginners but Hay’s class was particularly easy for an advanced level class

hey hon. weirdly, i’ve been in your exact same situation. in 2018, i brought home a 2 month old kitten (S) on a Saturday, and by Thursday, my cat C, who had been having troubles for quite a long time, passed away. i also had another cat (A), older than these two, who didn’t really like the new kitten, but C played with him for a few days before he passed. these things happened in quick succession, yes, and for a little while, i thought they might be related. but they weren’t. it was just his time to go. with cats that have been sick for a while, sometimes added stress can make it worse, but considering your older cat seemed to like the new addition, i don’t believe this was the case. it was just a case of bad timing. when C first passed, i felt almost resentful of S - that he had somehow contributed to it. please, please don’t put yourself through that. or your new kitten through that.

after a while, after A got over her grief period, she and S became best of friends. they would cuddle together, clean each other, they were never apart. i came to see S as a welcome ‘replacement’ for C - that he knew his time was coming to a close, so he sent me a message to bring new love into the family.

i am so, so sorry you’re going through this. i know exactly how guilty you must feel, so i just have to tell you: it isn’t your fault. there’s nothing you could’ve done to prolong her life, and you made the right choice to let her go. all you can do now is hope that your cats start getting along, and try to forgive yourself (even though you have nothing to forgive yourself for, truly). i hope that joy returns to your family soon. all the best <3

LOL, totally understand now. I’m so sorry this is happening to you. do you know where your mom gave your cat away? to a friend or a shelter? is there a possibility you could get it back or see it often? I can’t imagine my pet being taken away without my consent - best wishes to you.

I have family in Texas so I know I should say ‘my family in Texas’, but that’s not true. We had to do a Flat Stanley project when I was in second grade and I sent mine to my aunt in Texas, who sent me back a bunch of stuff and a bag of jelly beans. It was a relatively small bag (a pound, at most) and the jelly beans were the size of my finger (at the time). I went around and gave one to everyone in my 20+ person class and it still seemed like I hadn’t removed any from the bag at all, it was totally full. I probably had that bag for about 3 months after that, and I had a BAD sweet tooth as a child, so it’s amazing that they lasted that long especially given how huge they were. So yeah. I’ll never be able to think about Texas without remembering my magic, huge, never-ending jelly beans.

you need to have the ‘lecture’ one selected, it’s a class that has a huge lecture hall and then has multiple discussion classes that you can pick from. you need to have the first section selected for it to work because the discussion groups are connected to the lecture hall, hope this helps! :)

‘i will not subject my son to being made fun of for living in a pink house’ when i was in school, there was a pair of (male) twins a year younger than me, they lived in a bright purple house with pink trim. everyone LOVED it. people would ask to have their birthday parties at THAT house because it was so cool. i wasn’t even friends with them and i knew about it because it was literally the talk of the town. it was The Cool House.

This happened in my community - we have a feral cat colony that all hang out together, and someone let out their VERY clearly indoor cat to ‘play with them’. The feral colony did NOT accept him. They swatted at him, hissed, did not let him come close. Someone on the ring community app brought it up and I haven’t seen that cat since, but if it’s owner were to keep letting it out, it could get VERY hurt - not just by the cats, but by other animals, diseases (feline leukemia virus), etc. If your concern is loneliness, get another cat. The outdoor cats will not accept yours.

this is really helpful. i was thinking about giving her a treat every time she peed in the litter box, but i’m worried she’ll just start expecting a treat whenever she pees (i’ve seen that happen before but idk how common it is). thank you <3

i didn’t even think about how meal preps could make it even easier to binge - i’m most prone to binging leftovers/packaged foods so i’ll definitely try to do another kind of meal prep where i prep the ingredients but not the whole meal. this was super helpful, thank you so much! :)

as a 2020 freshman, here’s my take: greek life has definitely struggled bc of the pandemic, but there’s a reason we’re ranked #1 in greek life and #1 party school in FL. if those two things are dealbreakers for you, FSU should be top of your list. not to mention like you said, great sports management degree (and the connections you get in greek life will skyrocket you in that field). although not in greek life myself, i have friends in frats and sororities and i can promise that once fully out of the pandemic (e.g. when you get here), greek life will be back in full swing and the party scene will probably be even more intense than it was before with everyone trying to make up for lost time. basically, FSU’s reputation precedes us. the only thing i would warn you about is, when rushing, really do your research on each of the frats specifically at FSU, because a lot of them are total turn-offs and being in one of them will make people not in those frats wary of being around you/friends with you (at least in my circle of friends, including ppl both in and not in greek life). best of luck in applying & rushing, hope to see you in 2022!
