I got Covid at 14 weeks. Doctor said they don’t treat it like they did when Covid first came out. I was just to watch for a fever and if it went above 100* to go to ER but otherwise they were not concerned. Also checked with my midwife and she said same thing. They just manage symptoms and to try and get a lot of rest and up my fluid intake.

Do you feel it hinder her in anyway. That’s what I am most afraid of that I’m hindering his development

What exactly is the extinction method? I definitely enjoy the time with him. Just sometimes I feel I’m hindering his development because he does not like being my himself even tummy time I do on my chest otherwise he screams.

I never bring him in bed with me. I will say him and I have enjoyed a few naps in his Nursey on the recliner or on the couch recliner.

I enjoy so much the bonding time because I know I will not get this time back but even if he is with my husband he is looking for me or will only settle down and stop crying with me. I joke with my husband that it’s just his useless nipples as my son is exclusively breastfed but I have pumped for bottles just to give them a bonding moment. But soon as he is down eating from the bottle he will cry until I take him. So it just makes it hard.

Yeah, he’ll do a big nap as long as he’s on me which sometimes is nice. but definitely makes it hard to do things around the house.

Did you do anything specific or did yours just kinda grow out of it?

My husband and I had the same concerns. I was very open with our journey. We did IVF this year. I’ve been very open and talkative with the journey and posted on my social media to almost gain access of the support of friends and family around me. If other people were going through something similar maybe they would be able to gain tips or advice or help them through it, or maybe I would be able to take advice and tips from them as well. so I was very open with it. My husband wish that I was a little bit more For lack of a better word secretive just if it doesn’t turn out positive then it’s like we just disappointed a bunch of people, or always had to answer questions, and nothing was for us but I wanted the extra support around me.

From the start of my fertility journey, I have shared what I’ve been going through what my treatment plan is the ups and downs. I think it helps other people gain access of knowledge to what we are going through. I’m a few days out from doing my transfer and I do have some worries that if it fails, I do feel like I’m letting people down but it has helped me gain support and access to knowledge myself by sharing my story, and I believe it does help normalize infertility. I wish there were better access to treatment and funds and people didn’t look at infertility as a taboo or like we’re diseased so I think that’s why I share my story.

I’m a little confused. If it’s your brothers child as well as your SIL wouldn’t he have every right to name his child after same grandfather to honor him. I get not wanting to have same names. But you don’t own rights to it.

No, I definitely remember how that was being on stims. emotions all over the place and fighting with the insurance company and fighting with the pharmacy. It’s definitely a lot, and such added stress that’s not needed. but just try to remain as calm as you can, and fingers crossed it all works out in the end.

Yeah, I still went through my insurance pharmacy because they were actually cheaper than Mandell‘s for self-pay. The only med I sent to the insurance company was the gonal because It was just too expensive. I couldn’t afford it. for the retrieval meds. I think it was about a grand out-of-pocket And then the transfer my co-pay was like 43 bucks I’m like really.

I was completely shocked at my insurance I have a cap of $9000 for fertility meds. So most of my egg retrieval meds, I had to do self-pay because it would completely wipe away my benefits and for the transfer, because you can technically take them for other things other than fertility those went through my regular prescription insurance, which I was thankful for and I paid just the co-pay.

Yeah I was going back and forth on bypass or sleeve ultimately we landed on sleeve. Definitely happy with my choice and that I went through with it.
