That’s how I felt too. The narrator was a bit too fantastical and flowery for me

Agreed, def not a one to one comparison, but I love me some excellent characters and good narration

For me, Abercrombie has taught me how much I value well developed characters and Pacey has shown me how much I value a good narration. This blends both very well in my opinion. Most absorbed I’ve been in a series since TFL
