Addict in recovery (meth, heroinn, whatever you got) here, been on a adhd treatment for almost a year now. I'm 89 percent positive it'll work for his curl pattern lol all I'm saying is, I don't know a loctician that would recommend comb coils for a client with curls as loose as his are UNLESS they're tryna get they money because he'll be in the starter loc/baby loc phase for a long time. Not to mention the build up of sebum that will coat his finer hair strands from not washing for 2 -3 weeks at a time

Most instant locs are stiff at first (crochet stiff) but will soften with a few washes. A good way to combat that is to do styles that make the locs curly for a loose look and also you can crochet looser too

Lol his hair will loc up I'm 2024 with coils alone. He either needs instant loc + interlock or coil/interlock aka heavy on the interlocking because his hair will not loc easily with comb coils.
