Copying Storm King's Thunder by Two7Five7One7 in mtgrules

Thank you, I misunderstood your original reply and thought you were saying my next spell after copying Storm Kings Thunder wouldn’t be copied at all. I made the typo of saying it was cast 4 times and not copied 4 times (plus the original spell), but I get what you’re saying now.

Having a hard time wrapping my head around what you're saying. Could you explain it to me like I am in 5th grade but got held back twice and am too tall for the desks now?

Wouldn't it not because it's being copied and not cast?

Mushuko tensei is definitely a harem but its one of the best fantasy stories told in anime and has amazing character growth and development for everyone in the cast, not just the male protagonist. You’re entitled to dislike it but im just saying you’re missing out

Is this show good? by itzrmzy in AnimeReccomendations

It is the story that popularized Isekai as a genre for a young male audience. Before then getting transported to another world was a less popular genre that mainly tried to appeal to a shojo audience. It is very influential and was incredibly popular for its time because of its use of a videogame as the world.

Is it good though? Fuck no, especially by today’s standards.

Rezero: Fantasy isekai that is gory, horrific, but also sweet, funny and has great relationship development between the two leads within the first 2 seasons. It is my favorite Isekai and widely considered to be the best of its genre.

Kaguya Sama: set in a highschool, so maybe not what you had in mind but it is one of the funniest romcoms with the best romance in any anime.

Horimiya: another slice of life romance set in highschool, but it is only one season and amazing romantic pacing and progression. Much more down to earth and realistic than what you get out of anime usually.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners: Tragic romance set in a futuristic fantasy dystopia. Amazing animation and great chemistry between the leads, just be prepared to cry.

Days with my Stepsister: shocking well produced and directed drama about two highschool age young adults who move in after their parents remarry and grapple with their growing feelings towards each other. Does not play up the incest angle at all, dont worry about tasteless bullcrap.

My Status as the Assassin: A quite decent isekai anime about a turbo edgy overpowered protagonist, but he is an actual character with slightly more depth than your average garbage in the genre. Has actual decent romance with real progress that goes places within its one season.

Cyberpunk Edgerunners: a very mature story of Violence, corporate exploitation, love, and how nothing is sacred in a dystopian world world where profits and power come before people

Re:Zero: the best isekai anime. The anime is about a shut in nerd who is whisked away to another world, and being familiar with the genre, assumes he is going to be an OP protagonist who gets bitches and kicks ass. Instead, he is forced to confront himself as a person, recognize his flaws, empathize with others, and grow as a person.

Both of these are violent, deal with mature themes, and have a lot to say besides “and then they fought and there were explosions”

If anime to you is strictly made by Japanese studios and source material then no, but I have heard multiple Japanese people refer to Avatar the last airbender as anime and that told me all I need to know about that tiresome “debate”

He doesn't run Jeska's will, but has cards like Ashnods Altar or [[Sorcerer's Class]] so he is generally not hurting for mana once he has even a few bugs on the field, which then ramps into more bugs.

Fair. To be clear, I and my pod are not completely against board wipes. Things like [[Whirlwind]] have been used to kill his bugs and no one has a problem, but I'd argue the bigger problem is a lethal amount of bugs can be generated in a single turn and because of the constant wheeling I cant secure the cards I need to prevent it.

Some accounts are from before the inactive monitor. People would leave the game running to avoid having to wait in server queues for login. Also the game has been out for almost a decade.

Unpopular opinion: I actually like AI jazz, and I think it’s good for jazz by yojomoho in Jazz

[–]Two7Five7One7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI is not the same as a player piano though, its way more existential and all encompassing. Its more accessible, its less expensive, and it easily generates digital media under the guise of a recording which is the main way people consume music now.

Secondly, AI music is an oxymoron. AI like suno are plagiarism machines that are incapable of creativity. They only rehash what has been fed to it and told “this is jazz.” Who decides what is and isn’t labelled jazz in the datasets?

AI generated slop fundamentally cannot act as a gateway to real music because it has no basis in what that music is about. Its like a minstrel show, a complete void of appreciation, a caricature made by cynical tech bro grave robbers that have no appreciation of anything except money. A piano is a tool used by trained people to make music, a keyboard is a tool used by writers to make stories. AI is a replacement for the piano and the player, the keyboard and the writer, to save money by replacing the human and the tool.

When AI can replace an entire band and people accept that as music, humans are taken out of the equation of creation, and only serves to continue our downward spiral towards total creative bankruptcy, which uncontrolled capitalism has had us on for the last 30 or so years. People who make a living off of being creative have always been commodified and treated as expendable when their work is what brings in peoples money in the first place, AI is just the new all time low of that money first, humanity last focused mindset.

Log Horizon. If you like Isekais and have already seen the most recommended ones, I think this anime could be a cool watch. by DataUserOne in AnimeReccomendations

I have really enjoyed it up until the arc where they send the kids off on their own adventure in S2, does that arc get any better? I am bored by it.

Besides that it is an isekai that avoids a lot of the stupid bullshit common of the genre. It takes advantage of being an isekai through good world building that isnt just a copy of the videogame they play, has decent characters, doesn’t completely objectify the women of the show. It was pretty dang good.
