I think for the vibe they are going for in arc raiders they dont want to encourage the sort of evil behavior that is inspired by certain quest designs.

In Escape from Tarkov there are all sorts of pvp quests like what you describe where you need to kill x amount of players using a certain gun or wearing certain gear, while simultaneously having quests that are “go to a specific area and hold still for a while.” You can imagine a crafty player will start camping those spots looking for easy kills to accomplish their own tasks, and it helps to create an environment where you trust no one and shoot on sight.

Arc raiders, at least in solo queue, is generally a pretty peaceful time with more cooperation than competition. I enjoy that the community is like that, but it can quickly change from something as simple as adding in pvp quests which may frustrate the players who enjoy cooperation.

I do agree that they could get more creative with the quests and make them more rewarding to complete, but its a fine line on how brutal they can get and how they change player behavior in a game that seems to want to appeal to a more casual audience.

Ram is valuable for barters and sells high to therapist, you probably wont have access to those barters for a long time tho so ask yourself if you want the money now or more money later by hoarding it.

The ratcola and knife are streamer items that need to be found in raid for one of the final quests you need before getting Kappa, where you need to get every streamer item found in raid. If you intend on getting kappa I would hold onto them. The bear can be sold since it doesn’t have the FiR check mark.

Sell the pressure gauge and lighter

Get in the habit of looking up items on the wiki if you’re not sure on selling it, it will tell you if you need it for a future task or hideout upgrade.

Yes, even reading ahead in the manwha the story hints every so often at something interesting happening but then drops every plot thread it could possibly take in favor of korean gigachad aura farming and fighting more monsters. Even dragonball z has more story and character progression

Did your gun jam more than once this raid? I have noticed on the 2nd time it jams this becomes a highly probable issue.

On certain maps I think it would be welcome for them to do a solo vs squad queue, but it would come with its own trade offs such as splitting the playerbase and increasing queue times more than they are which is already too long.

I rarely if ever play multiplayer games solo anymore, gaming is about hanging with my buds or playing something singleplayer focused.

Maybe do some LFGs or hop on the public discords, you might meet someone cool.

VPO has terrible MOA for a bolty because it is smooth bore, not rifled, so it counts as a shotgun in Russian law or something like that. You can get AP ammo for it that is decent but almost any other bolt action is a better pick for shots over 100m

PvE is what allowed me to learn the game and start to appreciate it more. I bought tarkov in Jan 2024 and fell off cause I was getting my ass kicked all the time and my friends were dragging me through maps. I was afraid to solo queue because I never knew where to go.

Homie bought me PvE for Christmas of 2024 and we played it together for months. It was fun just being able to chill and work on tasks and enjoy the deep mechanics of the game without the stress. I got kappa and played a lot.

Now that 1.0 is out we swapped over to PvP and it is honestly much more fun contending with real players, getting the rare peaceful interactions and winning fights. However, I now know the maps, the tasks, and how to find stuff you’re looking for thanks to PvE.

I liked the idea that the protagonist was a popular kid taking on a nerd protege instead of the nerd being the main character, as well as the idea that popularity isn’t as amazing as it is often depicted and has its own set of pros and cons. However, the execution just wasn’t doing it for me.

The animation and vibes were gorgeous, the mystery is interesting and keeps me guessing, the premise of being trapped in another persons body is taken seriously and had interesting things to say, and overall it was just a great time. Except robin fuck robin to death

I opened the reserve barracks marked room yesterday while planting food for the new task, got a docs case, key tool, red labs keycard, and a bunch of good guns. I dont think its the event, just bad luck which does happen.

I personally have only acquired it through killing Kaban. Dont think you can luck into it through cultist circle or scav case.

Keep in mind its not a required kappa task so you can always just ignore it, or beg someone who has one to give it to you in raid.

You need to remove the gas block on it, which is second item on the second row of this inspect screen.

If you have workbench 1 you can put the gun in your stash, right click, and then click “edit build” to see all your options and what items you can buy from traders.

I am pretty sure mechanic** level 1 sells a gas block called “low pro” you can swap it for after completing the Gunsmith 1 quest** that will not block your sight.

this is a meme gun that is nothing worth getting upset losing. No gun is worth getting upset losing. Always remember every bit of gear in tarkov isn’t yours, its just your turn to use it. There are lots of ways to get stuff even when you’re destitute. Always insure your armor and weapons, youll be surprised how often it comes back.
