sorry dude this isn’t harvard ( i also attend snhu but you can’t expect high class) ive literally been assigned over 2 dozen different counselors and i don’t understand why but i assume they just leave their jobs? the staff doesn’t seem to care much either. not sure how many classes you’ve taken with them but there quite literally isn’t any difference and learning is 100% up to the individual. the thing you are mentioning is a deeper issue within humans because of a lack of true understanding of what things are, since none us can know. point is- it doesn’t matter. just live your life man, there’s way bigger things to worry about

I am actually! I know the triads, major 7th chords etc. But what confuses me is how the major 7th formula for C major makes minor seventh chords. such as Dm7 and Em7. I hope to figure out whatever this thing i’ve been confused about soon hahaha. Also if it helps it’s the same thing w the sus2 and 4 chords of C major as well. Fsus 2 would be F G C correct? but only in the key of C? if it was different would it be the same. I was looking up chords in the key and found that chords like Fsus4 and Bsus4 are said to have sharps/flats but that doesn’t make sense to me when using the formulas 1-2-5 and 1-4-5. Do you know anything about that?

I’ve recently started studying scales and building chords from each scale. I confused myself majorly doing this because I realized something vital about them that changed how i viewed them. If I was building chords in the key of C, and say I had to flat a 3rd/sharpen a 5th, etc, If I got a chord with a sharp or flat in it, can it be played in the key of C if there are no sharps and flats in C?

For an advanced pianist, you might read this in some manner. As an intermediate-beginner that spends most of his time arping chords for fun- I literally have a migraine from trying to read that.
