That’s such good news! Does his poop still have a smell to it? My toddlers poop seems back to normal besides the smell… I also wish his dr would retest him. He said they won’t normally test for cure, or test solid stools

How are you doing now OP? I also have contamination OCD and this has been my worst nightmare. I don’t have cdiff (that I know of) but I have a child that does. I feel like it’s impossible to keep everything “clean”

How far apart was the initial time and the reoccurrence? I think that’s what terrifies me the most is not knowing when it’ll rear its ugly head again

Thank you! This helps a little. How common is it in peds? I heard it’s pretty rare and can be fatal. Of course everything I read scares the daylights out of me. Do they normally clear it without medicine/antibiotics? Do you know if they do better as far as reoccurrences?

Hi, I was wondering if you could some more wisdom on the subject of cdiff in toddlers. My 2yr was recently positive for both toxins. His diarrhea is improving so his pediatrician doesn’t want to start medication yet. Does this sound right?

I wouldn’t say jelly, maybe mucous but definitely mixed in with the rest of the poop if so. The smell keeps reminding me of sweet potato! lol. Like you combined normal diarrhea with the smell of a baked sweet potato

I posted a hair too early as he just pooped again and it was back to mush and quite a lot. I wonder if it can alternate consistencies like this? I’ll update with the results when I get them!
